Just checked his stats, does well for the England youngsters but he's not scored a goal for a club yet in 20 attempts, anyone seen much of him? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuba_Akpom
I hope it's not the end of Gray as Akpom has never scored a goal while on loan. Anyone think there might be an option to buy with the loan?
The transfers we have made so far have been (on paper) great, I'm very happy with them. If we get Akpom, even better. Still think we will be after Gray.
Well you were spot on with all the rest though bro give some one else a chance to predict but they wont lol
David Burns @bbcburnsy Breaking, Hubba, Hubba here comes Chuba! @HullCity are trying to sign @Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom on loan. #hcafc
Rumors are you lot will take our 3rd choice GK (as Chez is on loan), Emi Martinez on a season long loan. First Hayden, maybe Akpom and maybe Emi. I approve
No, not at all. There even seems to be a semblance of a strategy developing. Some relatively young talented recruits (including loanee) who will be hungry to prove themselves & be willing to buy into SB's vision of team togetherness and his tactical ideas. Of course, Bruce has to get those right for the challenge at hand - promotion from an extremely tough league. Another positive sign is the lack of rumours of interest in foreign signings, which were part of our downfall last season. So far not much being rumoured about potential creative midfield generals in our sights - someone with the spark to unlock the opposition & get the ball to strikers. That seems to me to be a crucial piece of the jigsaw, as many on here have highlighted. Offloading our baggage (Hernandez, N'Doye +) is likely restricting that thrust. Won't be the end of the world if Jelly isn't offloaded, he seems to be a good pro who puts in effort. So far, so good with done deals and those in the pipeline.
Think the keeper one might be bullshit, seems like people were guessing about who the second loan was but seems it will probably be Akpom. Any reviews of him? Have you seen him play much?
At least these young lads might be hungry to play for City, and hungry to establish themselves as first team regulars. Abel just wants out.
I hope if these kids do good & Arsenal could be looking to maybe sell after loan we actually put in an option to buy like we should with Livermore that was touted as being £5 mill, but turned out there was no option & then we got screwed for £8 mill. I know he had a good season but it was never going to be an £8 mill season!
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham 2m2 minutes ago As per @bbcburnsy, #hcafc close to taking Chuba Akpom on a season long loan to join Isaac Hayden
Cheers, how do you rate them all? Good enough for the top of the championship? Akpom looks great for the kids, but hasn't scored when loaned
