Nobody ever asked if Gerrard and him ever played under age together now we will never know.

In the US the poor would sue you for choking on Mario's rib bones. A less litigious society needs to eat him.

And you honestly think that is the reason, despite Balo's history?
You're sure you know that Rodgers is that petty, and that the owners would allow him to be?

As far as I can tell, it's suggesting 2 million loan fee, 18 million (or less) purchase clause and only paying 30% of the wages during the loan. Hmmmm. The info also seems to be from his agent. Hmmmmm.

Yes. IF the players are being lazy, messing around etc., then it will rub off on the rest of the group.

I'm not sure of anything. You asked for a reason - I speculated <ok>

Liverpool's long-term attempts to sign Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi are set to pay off with the news Los Blancos are happy to accept a £14.2 million bid from the Premier League club, according to reports in Spain.
Fichajes (h/t Jamie Sanderson of Metro) indicates Madrid are "happy to deal" at this price, having previously stalled on a £10.5 million offer from the Reds earlier this summer. Illarramendi is a quality passer of the ball, a strong tackler and someone who could sit at the foot of a possible midfield three, which may include James Milner and Jordan Henderson at Anfield next season.
However, Marca previously reported new Los Blancos boss Rafa Benitez "wants to get the most out of him." It is suggested Illarramendi has rejected the chance to join Liverpool and favours a fight for playing time at the Bernabeu instead

And Suarez training on his own was in case he spread talktothetabloiditis?

Are yousuggesting that if they're messing around and being lazy in training (which again is just speculation), that it won't:
    • disrupt the training, making it less effective
    • cause resentment if harder-working players feel that others are hindering them or getting off with doing less
    • potentially lead to other players thinking "well, if they can get away with making jokes and doing less..."

The thing is I don't know why they're training on their own, I have no idea. You asked me to put forward a reason, so I put one forward. Do I believe that reason, no, it's simply another speculation. So to say have it your own way suggests I have a clue - I don't, when seemingly everyone else does <laugh>

I'm actually not really bothered what anyone does in training, as long as they bring their best game on match day, sweat blood and give 100%, I really don't care who did what in training. I've said many times that Rodgers mystifying team selections are based on how they trained [his own admission]. I'd rather he chose the team based on the best set up for the game in hand. Punishing players by putting them on the bench when we need them on the pitch is poor management.

My only concern in this whole topic is freezing players out, it's wrong imo.

JB, I'm just playing devils advocate.

I was going to also suggest, rather than it being BR's ego it's his inexperience showing. The way he's handled ego's might suggest he's not been used to it until he came to us.

Also he's human. Look at Fergie when he had issues with players cold damn cold at times. I mean it must be hard to put a lot of effort into three players that dont want to play ball for their various reasons.

He didn't want Balo to begin with so isn't going to break his back to try and win him over. He gave Borini a chance by buying him, when it didn't work and he saw him refuse an offer to go to a club that wanted him that had used him successfully on loan but he preferred to stay at a club that had no intention of playing him why put more effort in?. And Enrique hasn't been fit for more than a handful of games since Rodgers came. Gone on holiday a lot though.

It might not be right and it might be cold but they aren't children. Why should he waste any valuable minute of his training time on three players he has no intention of selecting at a time when he has seven new signings, a new captain, a new coaching team and his job on the line. His job is to create a winning team and that's it. He gets sacked if he doesn't and not one of those players would run to management and say Brendan had bad luck as a player back when he was young so give him a break now as a manager.

As he's been shown with Suarez and Sterling. Same said players would knife him in the back just as quickly, while still in contract if they thought it would benefit them.

It's a nasty business at times.

They're both pretty reliable papers and I think it's from both agent and within lazio aswell. Nothing is certain ofcourse but why would the agent be coming out with figures unless LFC was open to it.

The first one's just quoting the second, so we can ignore that.

As for the agent, possibly? Or could just be trying to generate some sort of interest? Who knows?

Sorry meant either is reliable so I read Italia quoting Republika.

Generating interest at 30% wages though? Why, unless LFC are open to it.

So he can then go to Liverpool and say "Look, I've found a buyer if you subsisidise some of the wages"?

Partly just playing devil's advocate; Liverpool may well be open to it. Or it could just be made up.
