I find most of the music you lot post isn't anything I would listen to, doesn't mean I call it ****. Maybe that's just because I'm not a dick head.
I knew you'd bite, you're too predictable, that's irrelevant. There was quite a significant point to the post despite it been hugely sarcastic, these music threads often have little imagination and focus on similar styles/bands, the one time we have a diverse one its shot down by many which is a shame.
Might have something to with the fact that everyone on here who actually posts in the music threads has similar tastes, have you possibly considered that? I love it when people call these genres 'diverse' as a means to justify and almost as an insult to people who dislike the genre. Would you call rock 'diverse' if every music thread was hip-hop and R&B? Would you ****. Which is funny, because rock probably is the most diverse genre out there, the number of sub-genres is massive. Just because you like a certain genre doesn't mean every ****er should.
Given there's nearly 50 replies to the Hip-Hop thread I'd say you're wrong and there are people on here that would like to share their taste in that genre without others slagging it off. Diverse is a relative term, in relation to this forum Hip-Hop is diverse, in relation to the charts its not its common as anything, it all depends on the context. As someone who is obviously a music fan I find it surprising that you would describe a genre as **** simply because its not to you're taste.
Your vid doesn't work. Considering at least 2/3 of those posts are by Garbo, using the replies to back up your argument doesn't really work.
If more than one person wants to discuss it then there's a place for it on this forum, let's face it we're using it to have a debate that is of no interest to anyone else but us!
