Talksport claiming we have been thwarted in our attempts to sign ashley young. ..sports journalists have such an easy job...Make **** up then make more **** up to explain away the 1st pile of **** ... then make some more **** up!
The Torygraph, which is usually a bit more reliable than most of the red-tops, reported that we'd sent a scouting team to Germany. So, yeah, could well be something in it....
Offloading Ade (which seems almost certain to happen) and Soldado, which seems likely given his rumoured comments to a Spurs fan the other day when he was travelling to Ibiza instead of the States, and bringing in Berahino and Werner, would be a bold and ambitious move from Levy. I'd be pretty happy with that I think.
We obviously had scouts in Germany during the season too, as we were looking at Wimmer in January ...or we're just using FM15 to do our scouting for us: Wimmer, Alli and Werner are some of the top prospects in Europe on the game.
The Tottenham twitter feed has finally decided that Chiriches in full Napoli kit is far enough and have confirmed the deal. Supposed to be £4.5m Now announce Adebayor ffs!
There was an odd comment in a story linking us to Berahino yesterday's Standard, saying that we want to treble his wages to £45k per week. Errm...what? Why would we "want to" do that? I'm sure Berahino's agent wants us to treble his wages to fatten his 10%, but short of the likes of Chelsea or City being able to obliterate the wages most other clubs can offer in order to get the player they're after I can't think of any club that wants to give a player three times what he's making at the club he's at.
More than anyone bar Lloris, Eriksen and Vertonghen (and that anchor on our wage bill we're hopefully dumping on Villa soon...)
Was there with my daughters...couldn't believe what we saw...but I wil miss Pleat calling him 'cherry cheese'
Apparently Adebayor is playing hardball about wages. Villa are growing impatient and the deal is at risk. Other ITKs are saying it's only being held up due to paperwork. Not sure what to think but wouldn't be surprised if Adebayor was still with us at the end of the window (not even loaned)
That sounds about right - and no great surprise. It's always been about the money with that lazy twat!
Surely if the Villa deal collapsed it would be sensible to just pay him off for the last year of his contract and rip it in half? He isn't going to kick a ball for Spurs ever again, and his presence is just a fart in an elevator right now.
Similar was said about Berahino a week ago. On the subject of crushing disappointments, Ashley Young has apparently snubbed the alleged interest from Spurs to supposedly commit his so-called future to Manchester United.
