Things can sometimes srprise you though.

NZ has a gang problem. These are organised groups like Hell's Angels, though they go by a variety of different names. Last year I was in a mall which had a patched gang member walking through it. He was big, dirty, wearing a leather biker's jacket, heavily tattooed and had a nasty expression on his face as if he was asking for trouble. Everyone in the mall was looking somewhere else, desperate not to have eye contact. People were drifting out of his way so his progress was unimpeded by other shoppers. At this point my little son, who was nearly three, walked up to him, looked him in the face, and said,"My name is Felix. What's your name?" I didn't know what to do. The gang member then squated down to look Felix in the eye and said,"Hello Felix. My name is Shane," then proceeding to give a huge smile before he carried on walking.

:) that's a great story. It's amazing what kids can bring out of people. They have no fear sometimes, it's so refreshing.

My mothers cats did not like injections ever or taking medicine of any type. Yo u could smash the pills int tiniest pieces and hide them in food and the cats knew and would not eat it.

Good luck with your cat Hon.

Fortunately for me, my cat is a massive wimp, so isn't allowed outdoors. So when he has to go to the vet, you just have to shut him in the bedroom!! And because he is such a wimp, he is too scared to resist your efforts to get him in his box!!

Unfortunately for him (and my wallet), he is a poorly cat. He had an unknown disease when he was a kitten, so is allergic to his own plaque. He would stop eating because his mouth was so swollen and red-raw. Had to have all his teeth out in January!! He's only young as well, bless him!! He's much better since though.

    Although, still a massive wimp.

i found him, and he's done for now, we have to go again in 3 weeks, wish me luck, it's the day before i go away so i have to find him! lol..

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak :)...i know what you mean about taking meds, my cat is similar, though perhaps not quite as bad!

    BBW, that's a strange one..poor little puss :(...

i wish mine wasn't such a hunter, the things i get as presents...ugh! lol...once i found a magpie hopping around my bedroom. We were going to my mum's for lunch and Mr H had already gone. I chased the magpie around the bedroom, finally catching him in my shower where he'd managed to poop everywhere! I picked him up and ran down the stairs while he gripped my finger in his beak...hard! I got the girls to open the front door but when they did, the cat was sitting on the doorstep so we ran to the back door, still with my finger in the beak, and the girls opened it and i let the magpie go (and he finally let me go!). When i got to my mum's i told Mr H that i'd found a magpie in the bedroom. His reply? "i know, i saw it and left it for you!". Great! lol...i do seem to end up being the man of the house! lol
