We were in Division 1 then (aka the Championship) and got him on loan first. One of my fondest memories is going to Wembley for the playoff against Derby and seeing a big poster advert with Cantona on it graffitied with the words "we don't need Eric, we've got Mustafa!". Also my uncle jumping out of the coach in the middle of a traffic jam to smack cars with Derby livery on them with a Leicester flag after the game. Good times.
Leicester are also weighing up a £6m move for Genk defender Kara Mbodj. The Senegal international, 25, joined Genk from Norwegian side Tromso in 2012 and has made more than 70 appearances for them. From the daily mail
If he is the player i think he is, and he may not be, i think i remember watching him play for senegal once and he was actually playing DM. His distribution was lacking but he can be desribe really as a 'massive f**king unit' of a player. Remember the size of Mbia? Like that, maybe bigger. Huge. Of course, this post may be useless as i am not sure if it was him or not.
That kinda describes all of Senegal's midfield - I watched highlights of the African Cup of Nations and they grow them big over there.
Latest link is Napoli's Gokhan Inler- I'd be ecstatic if true! http://talksport.com/football/leice...n-deal-napoli-midfielder-reports-150730160700
With the aid of a dodgy google translate, it looks like Bayer Leverkusen haven't had a bid accepted for Charles Aranguiz but we have for 15M euros http://www.sport1.de/fussball/bunde...er-leverkusen-bei-charles-aranguiz-konkurrenz That would be a signing and a half - and the thing is that it is realistic as Napoli want to sell.
Leicester City have agreed a €7 million fee with Atalanta for Yohan Benalouane, according to reports in Italy. http://talksport.com/football/leice...make-ps7m-tunisian-defender-his-first-signing Quite a few stories & links doing the rounds, be nice to see someone actually putting pen to paper.
15:28 Ranieri makes his move Football please log in to view this image Ian Stringer BBC Radio Leicester please log in to view this image Getty Images Claudio Ranieri is quite clearly chasing a central midfielder, with several interesting names being linked with Leicester City. Internacional's Chile midfielder Charles Aranguiz is the most prominent (see 12:53 BST), with The Foxes apparently offering a more attractive salary package than the likes of Bayer Leverkusen. Other options mentioned are Napoli's Gokhan Inler, Alessandro Cannataro of Internazionale and Jordan Veretout, the Nantes player who is reported to be close to signing a deal with Aston Villa (see 12:25 BST). http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/33590074 Looks like things might be happening...
Charles Aranguiz and Gokhan Inler with Alessandro Cannataro as a promising youngster ... probably around £16m worth but get them all in!! Plus £7m for Benalouane will take our summer spend to £33m ... how much did Hull spend last year? ... uh oh!
