Well that took a little while to get going and the players weren't looking all that sharp - then a goal changes everything. Mané looking as dangerous as ever, Clasie looks a bit unsure as has been said. Wanyama is a rock. But.... My god, if he carries on like this, we're not going to miss Clyne one little bit. Stand up Cedric Soares. He looks a player.

A good half for us, as long as we can keep a clean sheet this'll be a good result. We don't look quite up to speed yet and our passing hasn't been very sharp, but Vitesse haven't really been that great. A few things I've noticed: Wanyama is now coming up for corners (I swear he never used to?) Targett got pushed 10m up the field and that stopped their right back pinging balls in behind Yoshida Mane has been the difference for us basically playing as a striker, but we've surrendered a bit of possession only playing two CMs (I think Davis is on the left)
Very impressed with Cedric. Saw a comment earlier in the week that it takes Wanyama a while to get up to speed, well our super tanker is full speed ahead, fantastic first half. Mane doing what Mane does well, great goal, Tadic looking sharp, all very impressive
Just a brief proviso on my post above. In terms of going forward we'll not miss Clyney. Not sure we're going to be able to see how good he is defensively in this game!
Yeah, that was me - it was more when he came straight back after an injury he seemed to take a few games to get back in his stride. Come straight in striding in this one though. Good to see.
bloody hell wanyama. Great display. Any mistake or loose ball and a second later he steams in. Best half I have seen him play in ages.loving it.
Match should open up a little now - Vitesse need to chase that away goal... a third would be nice to kill off the game
