TBH, never seen it before but as it comes so highly recommended, I've set my Sky+ to record a couple of episodes and I'll watch them when I get back home after returning my boys to my ex on Sunday.

Well back from the fireworks, samples of different ales, chatting and people watching. Some things are the same wherever you are, such as thirteen year old girls trying to chat up fifteen year old boys. Some things are different though. Disco accordion music is unusual in the UK.

As it is the national fete day our street lights stay on all night. We have six, and before you laugh that is for eighteen people. I bet that is a better average than most can boast.;)

In Trinity (N of the island), it's probably on a par as it has the 3rd largest area but least number of people. You're right when it comes to the other 11 parishes.

We do like the way that the ages can all come together out here. Tonight there were two very elderly ladies from the retirement home supporting each other as they made their way across the field to where the firework display was to be held. Mme asked if was safe for them to be let out on their own. At the other end of the age range were toddlers running around and dancing as two year olds do. Children are made a great fuss of by adults and respond with openess, something that seems to be missing in other countries. The trust seems to have been overtaken by fear.

i think that maybe depends on the area...i suspect in a lot of village areas here the same might apply...not in London though lol. It sounds very lovely :)

That's my lot for tonight. The street lights may be on outside but my eyes say time for some sleep.

I wonder what good news will come from the rampant Baz machine tomorrow. Should be something exciting for the WO to report on.
