He has travelled with the first team squad to Bolton. Bit of a surprise to me as i was told he would not play for the Club again. Perhaps Vetokele is out for a while?
Guess that is correct. I reckon we'll keep him, use him as a sub, see how he does and his attitude. Make a decision on what to do when Vetokele comes back. If he's crap, get rid of him, and promote Ahern-Grant to the bench .
Or perhaps his proposed transfer has broken down, or they want to see him in more recent action? Looks the right sort of person to get on the end of Makienok's flicks. Not a bad player if he has the commitment, if only to impress a possible buyer. He ran himself into the ground for Iran in the World Cup. Was your conviction that he would never play for Charlton again based on the club shutting him out, or his refusal to play for us? If our Israeli manager rehabilitates an Iranian player, it could be a breakthrough in the Middle East peace process.
I'm not adverse to Reza the player, but BP hung him out to dry when confessing he didn't want to play for us. I guess he's the cheaper option. That's the real reason we've got him back.
The problem with Reza is that we have already seen how he performs in the Championship. He doesn't cut the mustard. Far too lightweight.
I think the service is better than from when he was here last. If we can get him through to some one on ones then I'd be confident in him finishing them.
I thought that until I saw him in the World Cup. He was playing as a lone striker and took a lot of knocks but bounced back and worked his socks off. When he played here before the team was in disarray. It may still be, but let's hope for the best.
