Hamilton are a good make actually and quite affordable, you just reminded me - American / Swiss company
Just had another thought!! Have a look around online for a pre-owned Tag Heuer Carrera. This is a very classic sports watch, comes in loads of variations. My personal opinion is that a lot of Tags are overpriced new and they make a fair amount of very well marketed expensive junk but a nice example of a Carrera in one of its more classic models would be a v good investment
Great advice this ^ The Tissot is a top shout by the way @Nozzer One last thing to remember is that a top end pre-owned watch holds its value - indefinitely. So you can trade up when you fancy and you lose literally nothing of what you originally put in.
It's win-win for sure. If you buy 'expensive designer' imo you might as well go and burn 200 quid down at Coral or Ladbrokes on the hounds. Wouldn't mind that Tissot myself actually. Watches with day-date functions are top, fun little pieces @Nozzer Just be informed before you buy... take the time to do some research and make your money work for you rather than just getting some disposable piece of crap that you won't be able to give away in 30 years time
the watch i bought my missus was a tissot. really good make. Or buy an iwatch and look a clown.... either way...
Don't buy a fecking iWatch, please, those things will be obsolete this time next year and apple will be trying to get everyone to upgrade to iWatch 2
Got an update from the lad who had his beemer jacked Apparently - police have told him this - there are some deviants in the area who have a radio / remote / aerial device that they turned on in the vicinity of the car when he activated his key fob... this picks up the electronic data and transfers it to a blank fob they have which they can then use to gain entry to and start the motor obvs without the alarm going off Now that sounds like bullshit and he's disappeared it himself for the insurance payout but it's the bizzes word and i seen their wheels parked up up there It's happened in other places too they say, so if any of you have remote locking be careful. I'll be putting the steering lock on from now on
Good lad. There's something uncouth and vile about iWatches, especially the premium ones that cost as much or almost as much as a Rolex. A man should have a nice mechanical/automatic wristwatch. If you blow thousands on an iWatch you're a grade A bell-end. I can just about, just about understand somebody getting the sport version to play with if they already have a proper watch. But if you want a digital watch the classic G-Shock is the way to go, or if you want a fitness tracker just get a fecking fitness tracker ffs like a Garmin sports watch, much more functional
I totally agree! there are some smart watches that replicate the look. If you are a serious runner or something and wanting heart rate monitored etc i can see the attraction. but.......... i can tell you now. going double digital is for tossers.. its bad enough and insulting enough to sit out at a restaurant or pub and have ****s texting sitting oppositie you without them gazing at their watch all meal etc....
What's that supposed to ****ing mean, bah-lamb? I was referring to the abject banality of the watch discussion
