    The new craze

    Colouring in books for adults. wtf??

    The craze for grown-ups breaking out the crayons has taken the publishing world by storm over the past year. Amazon's top 10 best-seller list currently contains four colouring books for adults.
    Scottish illustrator Johanna Basford has sold around 2m copies of her two colouring books.
    As she prepares to bring out another book in the autumn, BBC News met up with Johanna and Sophie Garner a colouring fan to find out the secret of colouring success.
    Some see the success of the books as a way to switch off from screens - Ms Basford calls it "digital detox" - others as a way to relieve stress.

    Just shows how many adults these days are semi-autistic ****s.

    Can't deal with modern life so need something quiet and repetitive to calm them down. Mind when that meant scooping 6 beers when you get in from work then crying yourself to sleep? This generation... <whistle>

    It's buisness cashing in on people's insecurities again. Pretty sure everyone has things they may do when they want "quiet time" be it reading, jigsaws, computer games, crosswords etc etc. but they always have to create a craze which too many eejits get sucked into.

    I wouldn't buy one of these books - not because I'm not a saddo but because my 5 year old niece would most likely do it more neatly and accurately than me

    Anything else is sub standard.

    I always ask for them to colour in with at the restaurants.

    Daughter gets a bit annoyed though.

    But hey, big kids need fun as well.

    As I said to some of my work colleagues who asked me if I'd seen the Harry Potter movies:
