The only mention I've seen of this is on twitter, with the odd link to a dubious source. Maybe there's something in it, but I'll remain sceptical.

Sir Kenneth's taking you back to the 80's so this may happen.

I found the Niang thing on facebook. It came from a Liverpool supporters club.I reckon there is something in it,as he will be signed up alongside Doni.

    Babel is such a chump.

He has regulary got himself into trouble and still he hasn't learnt.

This problem is there with his football too.

Poor player, poor attitude. None of his business.

    Good work Kenny.

Babel needs to shut his mouth, he acts like some Liverpool legend when he was actually a failure. We would remember him better if he just shut up.

It wasn't the King himself that responded hence no piss-take.It was Kennys son Paul that responded.

Not ignored Jatt I just think Babel had this coming, he was always more interested in himself than our club, he really needs to grow up. There's a good player in there somewhere.

Maybe he just doesn't like someone else wearing the shirt he probably wishes he had right now?

Gerrard recently took the bus with the supporters and watched the Villa game with them, and i think there should be more regular things like this to keep players in touch.

Babel may be realizing this now, but i don't think he did at the time, and a dose of reality making it clear that most of us would give our right arm to have worn that shirt would have maybe made a difference.

Annoys me when Tevez wants to move to another country to be close to his family. All he has to do is stick out a contract that he agreed to for a few years. If you can't handle that don't have kids. Or if you can't handle that move them to England, the education and living quality is largely better. Or if you can't handle that don't sign the contract you money-grabbing dick stain. I like to think a bit of time with the fans a year ago would have prevented a lot of this as he'd have realised the privileged position he is in and what that means. This isn't an ordinary job, and for the lifestyle, money and short career length you have to make some concessions.

Excellent post. People argue over twitter and such, but I say, if it's the only way they can keep in touch with fans, go for it. That's why, as much as you lot hate him, I respect what gazza nev's does when he sits in the stands with the crowd for united games, instead of getting the posh box-seat he can probably get.

I want all our players to do well and Babel was no different, but he frustrated me with his attitude. I have much more respect for players with less natural ability- Kuyt, Lucas etc- who give their all than the really talented ones who only turn it on when things are going their way.
Good luck for the future Ryan, but you'll never make it at the top unless you get your finger out.

I understand your position Jezz, but GN would have to find a cure for all ills, effect world peace and get Peter Andre of the ****in' telly for me to warm to him.

Yeah, love the old school style. Reminds me of when i played for my town as a kid, when you were given a shirt with one of those numbers you instantly knew what job you had to do for that game. Everyone vying for the number 9 shirt ha ha lol.
