No had it been any other manager's wife I'd have said exactly the same....but let's not kid ourselves if it had been anyone other than Rafa's wife that you'd have been hopping round like a frog with it's tongue in a socket

What exactly are you "calling bullshit" on Bod? My opinion that this was a cringeworthy thing for Mourinho to say? My opinion that any manager who does such a thing is being petty, vindictive, small-minded and really rather childish? Am I wrong about these opinions? You even say yourself most men wouldn't lower themselves to responding and I totally agree. As I said, if a Liverpool manager did the same I'd be cringing and I wouldn't hold back from saying so.

I couldn't care less what Rafa's wife says and I'm not really sure why Maureen cares either. It just amuses me that Tobes found it so "hilarious" that it was worthy of a thread on our board. It's not as if Mrs B has even been our manager now is it

I think if you were capable of stepping back from your Benitez bitterness that you might actually see that Maureen's statement wasn't particularly funny or at all necessary. Slagging another managers wife Not exactly Jose's finest hour

Not sure why people think they can just say what they want and not expect a response.
Not sure why Jose is the only one being held to any sort of standard.
She spoke out, he responded and made her stfu.
I personally would have ignored her, like you say, its some **** managers wife, so who cares, but as I already stated, Jose doesn't have that "Shut the **** up" part of his brain.

Not sure why Mrs Benitez got involved in the first place, but for Jose to reply back with quite a personal insult lacks class and is embarrassing.

 

I'm not outraged, that's the point I couldn't really care less about it (otherwise I'd have done the thread.....but instead that was left to Tobes, the bastion of impartiallity that he is ). Take my word for it mate, had Brenda slated Mourinho's wife (or any other manager's wife) I'd have said exactly the same thing....."stop being a prick and worry about your team"

But making out that your refusing to see the funny side and mounting your high horse has **** all to do with it being the FSW is even funnier than the comment....

 

Because Jose (as far as I'm aware) is the only manager bothered about Rafa's wife. Did you know what she'd said before Maureen brought it up? Did anyone care about her opinion? Had I read her opinion I'd have formed my own judgement (that she's a bit nuts) but hardly feel it should be worthy of comment as she's a manager's wife so who's going to take her opinion seriously anyway? Apart from Maureen that is
