looks like villa have adabeyor and berbatov lined up now, certainly bulking their squad up ahead of the season. will the players they have got in make them a better team despite who they have lost though?
Adebayor and Berbatov won't have the fight for a relegation scrap which Villa will most likely be in. Two luxury players that a team down there just can't afford to have. Villa will be in big trouble this year IMO.
hope you are right, looks on paper though that they have got a couple of players who know where the net is, I know our strikers know where it is but just don't hit it often enough lol.
Defoe will score goals, provided he's given the service - which we haven't been giving out strikers. He has done it at every club & level in his career. The rest of them couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.
Agree with Defoe and your choice of top Sunderland scorer, the other "strikers" in my opinion have been given enough opportunities to prove what they are worth. maybe with better service they might come good at last but not waiting for it.
As the old song goes . . . . 'Please do remember the 3rd of November' Bugger bounty night, or Standard Fireworks . . . . it was obviously written for us
That's great as far as i'm concerned, both can show flashes of genius but both go missing two thirds of a season. Both getting on, both will be on big wages. I think it's dreadful business.
Your dead right TJ re the domino effect etc - but fans fears and frustrations become hot potatoes when our team operates below the required level - which it has for so long - so its all emotional & tends to be negatively rather than positively realistic -we are still a premiership team with many under achieving players but now have a proven winning manager - KTF but ETU
If Sherwood gets sacked the pair of them will probably go on strike or something. He's clearly not looking for good attitude and he's looking desperate already.
Villa agreed a £7m fee with Blackburn for Rudy Gestede. 6'4. 20 league goals last season. Was impressed with what I saw of him. Good price too when you consider they want double for Rhodes
wtf is ETU anyways? quick goggle and all i got was European triathlon union. Am i being a bit thick thick ?
GA - its only my way of coping with following Sunderland for over 50yrs - may be sad but helps me and helps keep sanity at times but ........ETU. SA - you are a Sunderalnd fan - not thick - we all become unstable emotional wrecks perhaps - but no more than that - see above.. Anyway despite last nights result at least cements what DA saw last season - real quality need in our underachieving squad - and he came back to change that (i hope ) - onwards KTF ETU
Think he'll do well. Great movement from what I've seen and seems to have a fair amount of ability for a big lad.
No, you're not being 'a bit thick thick' SC The wanderer seems to be seeking attention by 'inventing' a 'signature' that he wants us to associate him with I may be wrong (probably am) but that's the way that it seems to me
Would he deliver instant impact in his first season or do would we need to wait around for him to bed in and adapt. Last thing we need is signings we have to wait on imo
He took a while to settle at Blackburn then started rattling them in for fun, I think he's adjusted to the English game and will step up. Irrelevant anyway if he's going to Villa.
