Alright lads im new to this forum so ill just give you my opinion on our transfer dealings so far and where I hope we'll be by the end of the transfer window.

It seems the deals for Naylor, Erding and the Zog are dead so we should forget about them and move on to new targets. We should sign Sturridge for £15 million I think he would be a great addition as he has pace, is half decent in the air and is a great finisher. We should also sign Shane Long (approx 5 or 6 million) A RW and a LB (if enrique goes) like M'Bengue (spelling?) of course this all depents if Ashley spands the cash and this seems unlikely

I have to say im looking forward to next season more than any season before ive got a good feeling

We all agree about Sturridge, just can't see it happening after what Pardew has said.

I wish I shared your feeling but welcome to the board, oh and please move to the right side of the water <ok>

Agree about Sturridge, would be good but can't see it happening -- Chelski will want too much and I don't wanna spend some outrageous amounts on him.

Welcome to the madhouse <ok> Have fun, and nice name!

I'm sorry but I didn't realise you were the voice for Newcastle fans on not606. I personally don't want him and think he's ball greedy, not what we need for our strong, attacking midfield. We need a tactical striker who has the ability to hold the ball up like Gameiro and Erding. Gameiro had the added advantage of being able to find the net on his own which is probably why we couldn't get him as he's just too good.

I partly agree with him being ball greedy as shown in U-21 tounament but surely the quality he provides will make up for that. Lots of players at NUFC have been ball greedy and still been descent it doesnt make him a bad player

Yes but if we want to get the best out of our midfield why would we spend £15-£20m on an overpriced english striker who won't give anything in terms of assists or threatening passes?

It's time to change and build a team rather than relying on a Shearer-esque return of goals from one striker!

Also, I see you're from Peterlee, where abouts mate as I am too?

I half agree. Sturridge would be quite good, in that he's a bit of an all rounder (which you need if you're playing 1 upfront) however his supposed price is extortionate. We only need one striker however. Without knowing anything about them, from the reccomendations on this board, I like the sounds of Sigthorsson and Welliton (former for the 'all rounder' quality, latter for the outrageous goals:games and 1 year left on contract). We definitely need a right winger, someone to mirror the job Jonas does on the left. Also, clearly we'll need a LB if Enrique leaves, although I think he's holding out for an unrejectable deal (i.e. a CL club) or waiting to see what our squad looks like come the end of the window. (If i was him i wouldnt potentially jeapordise what is a short career by signing a new deal under MA while he still has the opportunity to pull some crazy stunt.)

word to the wise, there's an invisible button top right between "my profile" and "log out" (if you hover your mouse, itll change to a little hand) where you can check your reputation points; you'll see you just got 6 off me for your awesome username <ok>

Dear me, Negitive rep received for the above post, it was posted in jest and then a decent reason to back up my point of not wanting Sturiddge. Scroll down you anonymous ****er and you would have seen this.

I don't really partake in this rep system much due to this exact patheticness! Silly!
