I believe in the Domino Effect in transfers. It's a theory that if you subscribe to, keeps you panic free until the last 4 or 5 hours of the transfer window. I hope I'm right too fella.

Roders wasn't a late signing you know fella. The season hadn't started when we signed him. He was a player on a shortlist built to a managers specification. The problem in that singing was Poyet's vision. I trust Dick's experience to know what he wants. I think Gus' inexperience was a huge problem in last season's window.

I know very few who thought the Roswell signing was a bad one. Only hindsight has taught us that it was no, to be honest, I still think he'll come good! But there's still 30 odd days of the window left so no issues

I think he will too. He hadn't played enough football for what Gus was asking of him. I think he'll be much improved player this season, but as far as his suitability as a signing to help us last season it was a risky choice that only just payed off as we stayed up. Had we gone down everybody would have being wanting to know why that ten million wasn't invested in somebody who could improve us instantly

Agree with this. Hadn`t thought much about it until (I think it was Terry) mentioned it. True though. The top teams buy players then sell. We do it (as do most in our position) the other way around. If they don`t, they end up in bother.

Having said that, I still think there`s money available for DA to get who he wants. Whatever names we, or the media, guess at, only the club know who they are.

Having financed the past waste it`s understandable Ellis will be reticent, but, having made all the efforts to get, and keep, DA here, Short would be daft not to give him every backing. And daft is something Short is not.

Me too, he was always going to take a while given the little amount game time he had(something we need to be understanding with Kaboul), I thought he'd come on stronger as the season went on, but his season kept breaking up with niggling injuries. Still think he can come good with a sustained spell of fitness.
