The Aussie media and fans gave England tremendous stick for only batting 37 overs in the 2nd innings at Lords. Today the Australians were all out in 36.4
Cricket is going well so far today. Yorkshire just need another 64 from 8.2 overs with 6 wickets in hand to win @ Surrey (Gary Ballance is 53 not out atm) and England have got the Aussies all over the place 136 all out. Some awful batting mind. So now to see what is happening in the Hull City area with the hissy fitters in other threads.
Other than the stat about a Warwickshire player never having scored a test century at Edgebaston, that one was on you.
First day of a test match I've watched since Sky got the cricket, picked a good day to return! Shame Bell got out at the end he looked well set, hopefully we can get a good lead built over the Aussies tomorrow
Yorkshire blew it. Losing by 6 runs. England well on top............................. so far.!!!!! Been a good day.
The first time in 11 years the selectors pick a Test XI without any players born in southern Africa, and look what happens.
Great days Cricket, Anderson was excellent, pity Bell and Lyth gave away their wickets, let's hope Root and Bairstow can put a few on tomorrow.
Another 150 runs for the remaining 7 wickets isn't asking too much I hope. If England get that the Aussies should really struggle.
This series seems really odd. I've not been watching it, but from getting updates on the news and that it seems like every test one team absolutely humiliates the other, but there's no way of knowing in advance whose turn it is to be good and who'll be ****. Previous ones it's always felt like either it was going to be close and each one would be tight, or one team was going to be trying for a whitewash because they were clearly better at that point in time.
The "Child-Bride" is not talking and I can get my own F-Bombing tea! Doesn't matter who wins - I lose!
Should still get a working lead too, at least 150 I reckon. Great bowling but disappointing start by England, shame for Bairstow too another Yorkshire lad falling a bit short
