Let's get some predictions going guys and see who gets the closest to the right results come the end of the season. Rival fans are welcome to post their predictions as well... Rules: 1. Format (copy into your post): Final 2015/16 PL season prediction Champions: 1. Team A Champions League places: 2. Team B 3. Team C 4. Team D Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Team E 6. Team F 7. Team G Note we are predicting PL positions. So if Southampton come 7th but Stoke win the League Cup and get entered into the EL then you still need to predict Southampton for 7th place, not Stoke.
I'll go first, I think City are going to dip and Arsenal will improve with Cech in goal: Final 2015/16 PL season prediction Champions: 1. Chelsea Champions League places: 2. Manchester United 3. Arsenal 4. Man City Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs 7. Southampton
I'll stick my neck out here : Champions: 1. Man United Champions League places: 2. Chelsea 3. City 4. Arsenal Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Spurs 6. RS 7. Saints.
I dont think we are far off. A good start and you never know. Last season we took 13 from the first 10 games, its where we lost everything and had us playing catch up from the start. The last 28 games had us neck and neck with Chelsea. Think we will finish top two but will wait until we finish our transfers before making my prediction.
1. UTD!!!! I believe Champions League places: 2. Chavbus FC 3. Arsenal 4. £££££ Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Spurs 6. Liverpool 7. Southampton
Going with my heart! Champions: 1. Manchester United Champions League places: 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Man City Europa League places 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs 7. West Ham
1. Swansea Champions League places: 2. Southampton 3. Everton 4. Leicester Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Newcastle 6. Watford 7. Tottenham
Champions: 1. Man Utd Champions League places: 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Liverpool Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Man City 6. Spurs 7. Everton
Champions: 1. Chelsea Champions League places: 2. Arsenal 3. Man Utd 4. Man City Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs 7. Southampton
I think it's pushing it to say we'll win it but I can't bring myself to say Chelsea will as I don't think they'll manage two in a row and City and Arsenal aren't good enough to win it so I guess it has to be us. Therefore; Champions: 1. Manchester United Champions League places: 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Spurs Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. City 6. Swansea City 7. Southampton
It will be interesting to see how the season pans out. At this stage it looks (imo) that there is a clear 4 teams at the top (Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal, not everyone agrees I know), then a clear gap until a group of 2 (Liverpool, Spurs), and then another clear gap to the rest, with the saints maybe favourites due to their great performance last season (but it remains to be seen whether they can do it again after losing Schneiderlin and Clyne). I really struggled to find a team who could likely rival Saints, @Style 's call of West Ham is probably a good one, @TheJudeanPeoplesFront 's call of Everton could come true but I think they may need another season to get back to where they were... Usually there aren't such clear gaps, you might have had a top 3 (City, United, Chelsea) and then a group of 3 (where Arsenal usually came 4th with Liverpool and Spurs), and then a whole bunch of teams who could grab the last EL place.
Never go to the PL board... But really afc, why would I copy your predictions? Everyone has realised this past week that my predictions are WAAAY more accurate than yours!
Champions: 1. Chelsea Champions League places: 2. United 3. Arsenal 4. City Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Spurs 6. Liverpool 7. Stoke Don't think we will do as well this year, nothing to do with losing Clyne & Morgan but more the Europa League effect, if we make the group stages of that I reckon anywhere between 8th and 12th. Also think Swansea could challenge Stoke. I can't decide on Everton this year, surely they'll be better but I really can't see what way they will go.
Champions: 1. Chelsea Champions League places: 2. Arse 3. United 4. City Europa League places (depending on Cup results) 5. Pool 6. Spurs 7. Stoke
Very interesting. Almost everyone seem to think that United have improved their team/squad and will improve their position. We still need to get that CB! Chelsea have not become stronger but then it would have been unrealistic to expect that. The question is have United improved enough to catch up? It wil be touch and go. As usual it will be how the team performs at home (OT was almost a fortress with SAF) and against the so called lowly teams.
Agree 100% with Watford tbh. Think Arsenal have improved their weakest position and will improve their league position too. City I think will fall to 4th, United will overtake them due to the improvements they have made, most noticably to their midfield. Pool will be close but no cigar yet again. Spurs will be also rans as usual. Stoke will improve and get a Europa spot, they have made some quality signings.
Great minds and all that. Can't for the life of me see why City are second favourites. Worst manager and worst defence in the top four IMO. Good going forward of course but I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of a lag from the players most involved in Copa America. With all this pre and post season tour bollocks these players never get a proper break needed and I think it will cost Aguero. Wouldn't go near him as favourite for top goalscorer. In fact I've backed Austin at 60/1 each-way on the assumption he goes somewhere half decent and plays every week.
