Here he is Big Vern's "Our Kid" who also masquerades as the "Bird in the Club Shop". (I got this photo from a "reliable source" who knows Steve Bruce's Postman - so it is legit). please log in to view this image
We're so predictable with Elmo in the side that i wouldn't be against him leaving. 3M is too low though i'd expect nearer 5. 7M (at least i assume that's what the bid is) for Brady is excellent business from us though, one year left on his contract and for me doesn't contribute enough to be worth that. Even if he had longer on his contract i wouldn't expect to get 7M for him. Bit underwhelmed by the Taylor signing, even when he's fit i think he's rubbish, particularly as a defender. He's a decent passer at least. Clucas is a reasonable addition, seems to have worked his way up and deserves a move to the Championship. By the sounds of it he's a worker and in this division they're just what we need. If you're hard working in the Championship you're half way to being successful.
Quinn had played in the Prem for Sheff U and he would have been a championship player if they had won the play off final - not really a fair comparison - hopefully this guy is a good signing - we've seen our own players move up the leagues like Ash Dawson etc so it does work - we've also seen players like Elliot struggle as he went up the leagues - Brucies record is a bit hit and miss so lets hope he's got this one right
Burnsey just talking to Matt Dean who is in Austria, say there maybe news today about another departure. Maybe Chester??
What I want to see is a 'striker'. That's all (or two). That is someone who can put the ball in the back of the net say every 3 or 4 games. Not a big ask. But every time we bring in a so-called striker who doesn't know how to score and I make a comment about it to the posters on this board, I get scores (forgive the pun) of them telling me that they 'are good at other things' (?) Circumstances have again determined that we are 'over a barrel' regarding the signing of a 'striker' (or two) owing to the fact that the so-called 'strikers' that we currently have, who consider themselves far too good for this League, are drawing about as much attention as 'our kid' in the Club shop. Still a little time and there might just be a couple of owners who are deaf, dumb and blind who could sign one of the three stooges we have at the moment.
Like Jelavic - 12 in 42, N'Doye - 5 in 15 or even your favourite Aluko who scored 8 in 19 in the Championship until he did his Achilles.
Chester is apparently missing from the camp in Austria and in talks with WBA. He can do better than WBA?
I'd be disappointed for him, and for us, if he ends up at WBA. Southampton I could understand but not the Baggies. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham James Chester close to leaving #hcafc. West Brom the likely destination.
This is the stark reality of relegation, and I anticipated it going no different, albeit I thought we would be a little bit further ahead than we are in regards to ins and outs. Chester, WBA. Pulis may build a solid team to push into the Top 10 and it may not be that bad a move, guaranteed premier league football under Pulis (so far). I do think he could hold out for someone better though. Big Vern - **** off!!!!!
