    Dembele isn't a creative midfielder.

He is good on the ball and passing which in turn will help create more chances than we do now.

Regardless i would love us to sign him

We need adequate back up for PVA. If he gets injured I imagine Matthews would have to fill in for him and then we are looking really thin on the ground.
Obviously isn't a priority - central midfielder is.
As it stands I think we finish 14th, very excited to see what Lens can do.

From what I`ve seen to date, DA does not seem the type to be panic buying. Up to now he`s identifeid weaknesses and brought in players to strengthen those positions. Quite the opposite of the Bruce system of good player, available, buy him, figure out where to play him later system.

DA will know what we need and who can do it. He will get who he wants and he`s not going to be hurried.

    That`s what I reckon anyway.

Go offer QPR £20m for Austin & Fer
24 league goals between them. Exactly what we need. Attacking midfielder who gets goals and a big unit up top who bangs them in. Lens and Johnson either side, Catts and Larsson behind. That is a side going for top 10 in my eyes.

Defoe Wickham Giaccherini Watmore all attacking back up options.

    Rodwell Gomez cover for cm

O'Shea Brown Jones/Matthews back up defence

    Mannone/Pickford back up to Pants

I think we'd have a similar season to the last two seasons with the current squad. Don't think we'd go down but it definitely wouldn't be comfortable.

Add a poacher and a creative midfielder and I think we'd be good enough for a safe midtable finish.

I saw him play for Sweden few years back and thought he looked the part.

Thought he'd have been picked up before now by a PL team.

Let Seb have a word - he'll join us no bother I reckon.

I think we've already got the poacher covered in defoe. Some kind of link up forward to feed him for me.

he'd be cheap, not only did he play for dick, he also has a special understanding with Lens. I reckon 4m would get him, Would leave a nice big wedge for that attacking minded cm

I wouldn't go that far but safety with a 1/2 months to spare will do me.

It was meant tongue in cheek. Hence the wink face. But yeah. Anywhere from 10-14 is progress in the right direction.

To be fair don't know what lens brings to the party but right now I would and am a little a feared. I don't buy into this knock on effect of loans etc, that's merely a wing and a prayer. We have to get creativity and goals in this side, and what use is a pre season if you haven't got your team in place/ sorted. Words like fitness, shape then bring someone from outside the group, there maybe best part of 5 weeks as some of you have stated but hello season starts in about a fortnight?? Just saying

Fer is a good shout DAP

He's been relegated twice but I think the guy is very good, too good for the C'ship anyway.

Think he'd set you back a good £9m mind.

Aye now that I think about it I do think he'd put them away if we could create the chances for him. I don't think we'll see a new striker come in unless we sell Fletcher though. If those rumours are true about Swansea bidding £4m we should take them, I can't see him contributing much on next season given his chronic lack of form, and he'll leave on a free at the end of next season anyway even if he did net a few.

We'll ship him out one way or another fella. It's easy to ship out players in the last year. We'll hold tight for a decent fee as long as possible and if there's no takers a year loan with a small fee to see out his contract. Same for Graham, we'll free their wages one way or another and that's all that matters to me now. We know we've got cash, just shift the wage

Hope you're right marra. I actually think Graham might contribute this season, his attitude towards the end of last year and so far in pre-season has been spot on.
