I've heard about him Billy, though haven't see the film. I read a book recently about Curtis 'Cocky' Warren, Liverpool heroin smuggler currently locked up in Belgium I believe. And the book by Wensley Clarkson about Kenny Noye is very good. Some good reads out there, some crap as well (Charles Bronson springs to mind).

You're right. For all they hate the English, they seem to like us Northeasterners. Spent loads of time up there & never had a problem.
Aye, say you are English and you could be in bother. Say you are from the north east and you are ok. I'd think that's because we have very strong working class regional identities all over Britain.
We're very similar to the Glaswegians mate. Cities built on shipbuilding & coal. I think they respect that. Put it this way, I've more in common with some working class lad from Glasgow than I have with some flash ****ing Harry from London.
He's the biggest of the recognised criminals in this country, by a mile. I also like the fact that unlike the rest of them, he's never gave his story. He has never wrote a book, has always refused to give evidence in court. He's in jail at Jersey at the moment, he can get out in January if he hands over 198m that the law are demanding in proceeds. He's playing the skint card He once bragged that he could spend 50 grand a day and still wouldn't go broke. He's got business interests and property all over the world including a gold mining business. In Liverpool, especially Toxteth, he is very much like a celebrity. T-Shirts with his face on have been sold in the area, families named their children after him and he could leave the keys running in his brand new sports car while he would leave it unattended and nobody would touch it. He once owned Barrow Football Club, not sure if he still does now though. When he was in Jail over in Holland he beat a Turkish man to death with his bare hands (and feet), not sure what that was over but he only got an extra 4 years for it.

Speaking of Glasweigens though, not my bag, ****ing scruffy ****s, disgraceful tramps rampaged through my city a few years back.
