In a statement read out by his agent tonight, Neil Taylor has cited his desire to play long term EPL football as the main reason he has decided to stay at Swansea.

The only club chasing his signature were just a small time outfit, slated for haggling over some bits and bobs to sign him and they were not guaranteed to retain their EPL status in a second season syndrome campaign. He stood more of a chance of staying up by staying put.

    If Carling did agent statements?

Poor little barcodes, cant even attract, afford or capture average players?

Is it cos he int' French man? Lol:emoticon-0102-bigsm

the present day newcastle utd remind me of our days under bob murray, haggling over small amounts of money(in football terms) and losing out on players as a result

Shows we won't be dragged over the coals when it comes to signing players. Swansea wanted 10 mil for him if what I read is correct which is obsurd really. He wasn't going to get first team football at Newcastle either so it's no big loss. I would liked him toof signed though as he seems like a decent player in the making.

£10M is ridiculous if true. May as well give Enrique a pay rise, although he didn't impress me as much last season (only via MOTD highlights, admittedly) as before.

£10m for Taylor? No thanks, would rather keep Fergie.

Oh btw Cest, a Newcastle related article again from you. Are you obsessed or something? 'Sad ****er'

Krul > Westwood - Krul is average, I'm afraid & we also have Mignolet and Gordon (when fit) who are both better than Krul
Enrique > Bardsley - Not last season he wasn't. Looked disinterested if you ask me.
Coloccini > Bramble - You jest. Coloccini's first good season for you and he wasn't THAT good. Bramble's no Bobby Moore mind...
Barton > Larsson - Could be right here, although I haven't seen enough of Larsson to judge
Tiote > Gardner/Cattermole - Better than Cattermole, but Gardner's a more attacking type of midfielder
Ben Arfa > Sessegnon - Piss off. 4 decent games and a broken leg? How do you REALLY know this this (I use the word "know" loosely)
Ba > Gyan - Now you really are taking the piss...
Best > Whickham - I am better than Best. End of.

    Poor effort.

What's all this £10m nonsense about? Doesn't he have a £1m release clause in his contract which Newcastle have matched but Swansea have gone to an arbitration panel to prevent it and are trying to negotiate a new contract for him to sign.

TBH, BB, I really don't think some mags appreciate just how ****ing deluded they are. The knee-jerk overrating of their players is really tedious. One of them who actually lists all their midfielders in his signature with the tag "Nope - still no room for a mackem" put a post up today admitting he'd never heard of Cabaye and Marveaux before they signed! Yet they're STILL better than anyone we have <doh>

Apparently if a bid of 1 mil came in for him, it would give him permission to talk to said club, not sign him......that's from Swansea anyway. Then there were reports of 10 mil being required which is ridiculous. Clubs know we have the money there so are effectively taking the piss. It was Newcastle who were goi to take it to an arbitration panel over e release clause issue, but it seems the player wants to stay put. Thats fair enough for me.
