What say yee of Hidden Cyclone for it? I've not had a bet In any race at Galway yet but was certainly interested to see him being aimed at this race and he has a nice mark as well. Looked impressive on the level LTO and that was a nice sharpener. Hotly contested race either way. I will probably back the Cyclone if his price holds out around the 8-10/1 mark come Thurs.
For some reason Sportinglife have Bachasson missing from their cards if that's where you're looking gents. Don't worry, he runs and wins
Surprised how easy he hacked up LTO when largely dismissed in the market when everyone thought it was a pipe opener! I had a large wager on him when he run poor at Punchestown so he's not one I catch right, so you're probably glad to hear I don't fancy him myself! Never mad keen on them mixing fences with hurdles to be honest, I think he'll be a bigger price on the day. Diakali looks all class to me, ran decent races against Our Conor etc as a juvenile, with normal improvement you'd have to think he's well in. No ground worries either. I think he's a knocking bet and I'm certain he goes off a shorter priced favourite than the 7s he currently is.
Had to laugh at Sharks post race interview after his flat spin..He said Paddy Mullins told him he would keep him handy and give him a squeeze coming around the bend and ride him out to the line, the Shark said he told Paddy that if he came off the bridle he'd be suprised. Calm and collected. Egg and spoon race though, I know that. Diakali will probably head off about 9/2? You may well be right on him and I'm not dismissing him in the slightest, still mulling the options over.
After MODEM wins tomorrow night Mrs Harrington may decide to head back to the well off a lovely hurdles mark for the Hurdle too! Loves these big fields.
I read in the racing post that shark will be running Usual Smurfer in the blazer race, not sure what day the race is held but will be keen to see the forecast price
He's going in the Plate on the Wednesday ste. Few bookies have it priced up online if you're able get on that way...33/1 they are quoting. Bet365, Betway and Ladbrokes going 33's. Paddy is 25/1.
Cheers sth, didn't think he would get into the plate.Already on Alelchi Inois but might have a small saver on the smurf
That's the only entry I can see ste but it's not guaranteed he will get in and could be re routed. Keep your eyes peeled and good luck with him if you do get on in whatever race.
Ballyglasheen @ 6/1 looks a decent bet in the 3.45 at Newton Abbot. A competitive heat on paper but I'm not sure the ground will suit many of the others particularly the favourite. Ballyglasheen has been highly tried and won a Swinton Hurdle off this mark last year. The trainer gives the ride to a 10lb claimer to further reduce the burden too. Has to go close.
Hello, crew. I see that from 6 p.m. this eve the punishment of being ‘hung, drawn and quartered’ is being reintroduced onto the Statute Book....for anyone who says, or types, the words ‘Glorious’ and ‘Goodwood’ in the same sentence. Be careful out there, pilgrims. Nothing for me today but the ‘county set’ are looking to have a nicely crafted wager on one in the first half of ‘The Qatar Goodwood Festival’. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more... Good luck to all.
Todays treble will consist of sponging two and one from myself in singles and treble. 2.45 NA NO WIN NO FEE (Stick) 4/1 3.45 NA ITTIRAD 9/4 5.15 GAL BACHASSON (Bob) 6/4 Good luck all today.
Gleneagles (who is so good he's had a golf course named after him) has NOT, I say NOT, been declared for Wednesday's Sussex Stakes. Fred Head's Solow now a very short priced favourite.
Todays darts in Galway are Ashjar, Ted Veale and Vitalized. I have gone with Hidden Cyclone in the hurdle later in the week. Did it in double with Mullins horse in the plate but ground definitely a worry for this.
TIME TEST’s next race, all being well, will be in York’s 'Juddmonte International' on 19 August. No messing around with minor Group 2 or Group 3 races. The old boy is off to the top table. Currently 5/1 second choice of the layers behind The Golden Horn.
