Obi being Mikel for their first goal
    Ivan had difficulty against lucas.

Always rated Moses. What a finish and what an assist from Fab.
    Victor > Salah + Square

    Rambo did nothing
El Tigre had decent movements & first pen
    Square can't buy a pen.

Courtois did scientific keeping for pens & what a finish to clinch it.

    Couple of thoughts...

    Mikel was useless, Ramires brainless
    Begovic made some fine saves
Moses is the player who can make those direct runs into the box from the wing we lacked last season
Oscar played further back and it looked very promising
Up front we have ridiculous pace and power which is very exciting (Remy, Willian, Moses)
Cuadrado - Im going to keep my hopes up because there are glimpses. He just needs a couple of goals.
Falcao actually looked good...shame we didnt see him with Fabregas behind him
    That pen for Tibo!

True that Diego. He will be better than Nando for sure, especially if Fab can link up few early chances.

    Perfect Summary mate.

Moses did more defensively than Mikel & Rambo put together.

Square had that one incredible run and went one on one with Sirigu but dwelled and missed.
Still he looks too light weight and very indecisive as well.

I always thought Oscar should play behind Fab. Oscar is better in tackles.

I really liked Remy + Falcao for Costa late second half. May be that is our Plan B?

Remy is a better striker than doego costa.

    There i said it.

A 4 of remy, hazard, willian, and moses has so much pace and verve.

    We'd terrorise anyone.

Victor has devolped ever so well, im very pleased for the man. Technically he looks good, ball retention is a bit lackimg but again hes improved in that area, his decisions are better, he looks the business.

Oscar played deep, did alright id like to see more though.

Defencivley we are crap. This whole containg idea doesnt work, we need to press much more from the front.

    Psg are a good team...

Yeah thats all ive got for now lol have a great sunday

Yeh that is true defensively I am far less convinced. Zouma did look excellent when he came on though.

If he gets a fair go from Jose, Zouma will be a star for sure. Would play him more often as a back up to Matic, as well as CD.

Tibo's penalty was up there with the best.

I watched the game until about the 70th minute. I was surprised to see Chelsea defend so deeply in a pre season game. Are you lot happy with such a conservative approach to the game?

It would be interesting to get a balanced response, perhaps from Bodanki or Chelsea Pensioner, but instead I fully expect to be set on by the usual suspects!

Probably a product of the fact PSG were dominating us in the first half more than anything else.

Surely the point of preseason is to get used to your playing style for the coming season?

Can't help you Shteve, Im on holiday in Paris and didnt see the game. If last seasons play is anything to go by though, Id completely disregard any form, tactics or set ups. My feelings are, pre season is to run people into match fitness, give some kids a run out and make sure everyone gets a little game time. I'm not expecting much change from last seasons style, though I'd rather we played more like we did early early season than later. Jose does frustrate with his style at times, but he wins things too. My hope is we are let loose a bit more and use our classy players to score more than are scored against us. I do expect our defence to be under the microscope though, changes are occuring whether we like it or not. Hope that's balanced, I try to keep a chip on each shoulder !

    Pretty much what he said.
Except I didn't see the game because I was in Northampton, not Paris. (both **** holes :D).

    Pre season is just......meh.
Like CP said, get everyone back to fitness, maybe try a few things out, give some kids some games before we sell them to Stoke at the end of the transfer window. :p
Defence, by all accounts, is where we may be looking dodge at the minute. Hopefully Stones can help in that department.

I have fond memories of Northampton. I was in panto there in '85 and for me it was a magical time. Two shows a day so I had no Chelsea time. Northampton Town were somewhere in the lower reaches of Div four. I had no car and walked everywhere.

I was pessimistic about Moses on another thread, because of all the fouling he was doing on loan. That did stop at Stoke after a while. I hope being back with the Chelsea squad gets him to focus on his undoubted skill.
