I'm of saint's era when there were no replica shirts or club shops and we had to trudge 2 miles in the snow .................................

I got my first replica shirt as a present from my lads about 15 years ago? and wore it on the day and never since. But my lads wear their shirts to the match and for basketball training. If they wanted to wear them on holiday or going to the shops [which they don't] I see no problem, times are changing. I can't imagine what the Kop would look like if nobody had their footie tops on, that sea of red is a sight to behold <ok>

I haven't been watching them no. Logged in and saw game 10... Holy Cow that's a lot of games this summer.

I've been trying to not get distracted at work... And I know once I post once here I get sucked in and post more.

I think getting a name and number on back is bad luck... Like they'll go if I get their name on a shirt.

/ ordering my Balotelli 45 shirt tonight

I always wondered in a football top would be fashionable like a American football/Basketball jersey.

Plenty of people wear the two things but with football it always seems a bit lame, I inly wear them as pajama tops.

I'm with you there Steve, for me the football kits are for the kids and the players. I don't even like wearing a branded kit when playing 5 a side I feel such a pratt. However each to there own.

I'd be even less likely to wear some American branded item than any of our own. Like people who wear things with say, UCLA, on them. I have no desire to sport the logo of something I have absolutely no association with.
I won't even wear clothes with obvious manufacturer's designs on them- why should I pay them to advertise their product?
I realise it's fashion, but I really don't get it.
I should, however, point out that I have been heroically unfashionable my entire life.
    So far.

Back when my knees allowed me to play indoor footie (astroturf killed my knees so had to stop) there was one team that played in Newcastle's yellow striped away shirt.

Imagine how much a prat they felt wearing toon shirts.

/ actually, if I'm honest I really liked that shirt

Well I wore a red top without Liverpool on it. Decided it would be in poor taste to wear a team shirt to a game where that team wasn't playing...

That said, for every three PSG shirts I saw one Liverpool top. Chelsea fans made up the majority but to nowhere near the majority Liverpool had over AC Milan fans last year at this venue.

Saw lots of USA tops, one lonely Man Utd top (used to see Man Utd tops everywhere in the U.S, now you almost never see them). Argentina tops and about a dozen Germany tops traveling together.

Charlotte is apparently a huge hub of Liverpool fans (which is one reason they came here last year... Not sure why here specifically is so pro Liverpool but it is).

Unfortunately atmosphere wasn't as good this year... No singing, chanting or cheering... Was all rather subdued, but the game was a good close one.

I watched until about the 70th minute and was surprised to see Chelsea park the bus in a pre season friendly.

Alot of effort goes into parking a bus, hence why you need to take a HGV test. It's a real skill that takes time to master.
