Contribute a few vertebrae each when the peasants are revolting? Seriously, I'm not asking for it to be re-opened- as soon as $£erling does something noteworthy then someone will just start another thread. I just don't think there's any need to close threads unless they are utterly pointless, or offensive in some way. As you say, if it's active, then people must be taking an interest in it- if not then it will drop down the pages. Natural selection. I don't really think it's up to anyone to decide what the rest should discuss, unless we're breaking the rules. Do we actually have any rules?
Dont know if mito had reason to close it, I'm sure he'll re open if people are still interested though. I guess having a thread about 1 player who now doesn't play for us is a bit obsessive, wouldn't want to be like the man a with all their Lfc and Stevie g related threads We have a rival thread which can be used to discuss rival clubs and players?
i say start another thread... i don;t mind. anyone wanting to piss on sterling on that thread cna pm me to ask for it opened. Just throw it on the "new" banter thread
That was a really unpredictable, great race. Predictability is the enemy of excitement in sport, especially in a sport like F1 where when you get a situation of one team dominance like the Mercs there's little point watching as you know the outcome, unless it's a day like today (all too rare!). Still want Hamilton to win another WDC but want him to have to work harder for it and see some other cars at the sharp end. Maldonado is one of the worst, most accident prone drivers I've ever witnessed in F1, every race he's either crashing and spinning himself, hitting other cars or bothering the stewards Good result for McLaren yeah... kind of on merit but there were plenty of incidents that helped them Great to see that moment for Jules Bianchi before the start... would've won a WDC that guy given the right circumstances and totally appropriate that it was a Ferrari win. Sad loss for the sport
It was a decent race but as a Hamilton ignore I was fairly pissed the idiot Rosberg hadn't the brains to keep soft on and to not drive over someone's wing. Vettel did well, raikkonen was robbed, a few good moves but the race was made by a wing exploding in reality. Pastor needs sacking.
Just turned my telly on, and looking through the online tv guide, Channel 5 are apparently showing "Residential Evil: Retribution". FFS.
Must be. I thought they might have conflated their tacky thrillers with the housing benefit scrounger theme to come up with it.
Anyone else think Rosberg has Thomson his tenuous chance at wdc away? He was so fixated on Hamilton he never thought to win the race. He put mediums on that he was frankly slow as **** on all race and should have listened to pit wall telling him softs. With raikkonen all but toast he could have had Vettel after restart and controlled car. Instead he was slow and riccardo caught him. Never a champion imo. Pity as I hate the media love in on Hamilton Any time he's been under real pressure he's bottled it but he's invincible according to our press.
We cancelled a family holiday because if the house move so now we all have 2 weeks off at home. Lots to do but at a nice pace.
He said he went to Portugal, but he was on here all the time. I'm guessing he really stayed at home with a sunlamp and a picture of Ronaldo.
