michu is a Swansea player as long as he has a contract and he must abide by that. I said the club has bent over backwards to accommodate him and they have big time. the season is fast approaching and all we see is michu not helping the situation by saying he wont take a pay cut to join his old club so he is running out of time as we wont be able to sell him when the window shuts........so what do you suggest we do? Keep on paying him £160,000 per month for not doing nothing or should we order him back to the club for training knowing he will not be part of the squad for first team football......If we look to force his hand he might just have second thoughts on wanting £40,000 per week and may negotiate a deal with the club offering him a contract but cant pay him what he wants. We are not a charity that we give away thousands every month for not doing anything.....terminate his contract if he refuses to comply with his contract....
No Dai he's not running out of time, we are as the window closes at the end of August ! And would you take a pay cut when you have a contract that pays a certain amount? The fact is a football contract is meant to be fair to both player and club, Michu is also not a charity, he is entitled to what is on his contract. And you are again assuming that he is not abiding by his contract or agreement with the club, can you give one shred of evidence that this is the case? A lot of assumptions are being made on here, I'm making them as well as without verifiable facts we don't know what is happening here. But I have not heard anything from the club to suggest Michu is in breach of contract, or that he is not complying with the club mandates, all I hear is that he is not returning to play

Therefor we are entitled to make him return for training........what are we paying him for ? Your only entitled if you abide by the contract and clearly he is not make him come back and see what he does......If he does return we continue to look for a club willing to pay £40,000 per week (but dont hold your breath) If he refuses then sack him and have done with it.......He dont warrant any special privileges he has to abide like everyone else at the club.....
You are still only replying to selective parts of what I'm posting Dai, you don't know what has been agreed to by the club, Huw has said to the press he's not coming back, Monk has said to the press that Michu will never play for the swans again. What does that tell you about this guy's future with us? He's been told to find a new club, he will only go to a club that suits him, if that club won't pay him what he's getting here we are going to have to top up his wages until his contract is up with us. Or we are going to have to pay up his contract until the end of next season, which is about £2m. Unless somebody comes in to buy him, which is highly unlikely
Absolutely swansea could get him back to train and if he doesn't then maybe he is in breach of his contract. What jager is saying maybe the club have told him not to come back as hes stinking the place out lowering morale and destroying the team spirit and therefore hes not actually breaking his contract (huws words suggested this). At the end of the day huws wont be taken for a mug on money being one of the most prudent chairmans in the league so everything suggests swansea will have to keep playing michu even though hes on a beach in Spain
In the big scheme of things he is nothing to us and we should brush him away like a fly buzzing on the back of the hand. We have moved on and grown out of his league now, literally, so if he wants to play games and go and bury himself in second division Spanish football then that's his level and we don't need to stoop to it. After all we are Swansea City he is michwho?
He did exceptionally well for us and we must not forget that.....If we had had another manager other than laudcrap perhaps he would still be here or we may have sold him for £30m+. The lack of proper training under laudcrap meant the players were not 100% and more likely to be injured and red and yellow carded. Laudcrap has a lot to answer for the way a perfectly harmonious team doing well suddenly fall to pieces in a short space of time under his watch. Ill never forgive him for that and im glad no big club will touch him and he is forced to work in a nothing league..
"He did exceptionally well for us". What he did Dai, was what he was paid very handsomely to do. He managed to perform for less than one season yet he continues to be paid handsomely. He's done nothing since, here and he was found out, when given the chance he craved at Roma. I personally don't buy his 'injury' excuse, there are far too many players who return from worse injuries than he has feigned for nearly two years. Players come back from Muscle tears, separated ligaments, broken legs, even rugby players come back to play after painful surgeries on ACL for example. Imo, the grey one has been found out and the 'exceptional time' you refer to Dai is starting to look like a fluke or maybe it was down to the other players around him. All I know is that sometimes it stings when you burn off a leech and if we have to face the sting of paying off his contract then so be it, burn him off.
i have just gave you a reason why everything went tit up for Swansea and michu......everything points to very poor leadership by laudcrap.....i would not wish him on any British club and by the lack of interest nobody wants him anyway......
I think the question we should be asking is hss the club told him to report for training or not. If not why not? Bottom line if they dont want him anywhere near the club then they have to keep paying him. If they are hoping he will leave of his own accord then it will be a long time waiting. Lets be honest other than getting regular games what incentive does he have for taking a pay cut!! I think the club should cut their losses and pay him off either financially or by making it easier for him to leave
he never. there was no shape to us whatsoever hence we were 2points from relegation. nobody played too form until monk replaced the useless git. harmony in the dressing room was non existent.
Once the window closes he wont have any choice but to return to his parent club. If we have to pay him then make him earn his money.......I would order him back now and see what he does. no player is above the club.........Im sorry if he is refusing the terms that the club he wants and they want him then he is not helping the situation so we make him come back ....end of story.......If he dont then terminate his contract and forget about him, it's his problem....
More we won't have a choice if the window closes and he's still with us. But that won't happen as he will be gone well before then.
We could send him out on loan to whichever Spanish club wants him, and get approx 50% of his wages paid, that will probably be the end result if we do not get a buyer...............
Make him train with the academy to show him where he came from and bring him back to reality that he is no super star anymore and only Spanish 2nd division clubs that cant afford to pay £40,000 per week for a player who have not played for two years are the clubs that are showing any interest in him.Thats what i would do.....
Would you do that to the detriment to the team? I'm sure hes still got some friends in swansea like amat and some of the forward players. Likewise if swansea go on a really bad run of form without scoring goals (monks getting results but the number of goals scored is low) would their be a clamour to reinstate michu and splitting the fan base.
