Good news is that Real Madrid played with Ronaldo as their no 9 and Benzema on the bench....wenger get him!!
Only 12 fans turned up to greet Chelsea on their tour as they arrive in Montreal http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...arrive-for-training-in-montreal-10397756.html Oh well, that's a few more at least than turned up to watch their league victory parade
Arsenal have sold their ticket allocation for the Community Shield but apparently the Chavs still have 11,000 tickets unsold.
Liverpool buy Benteke for £32.5m. Is it me or is he overpriced? He should be £25m tops. Liverpool becoming the new Spurs and throwing their money up the p1sser.
Absolutely crazy money for Benteke. Especially when you think that Sanchez only cost £2.5m more. That's the premium you get when Premier league clubs sell to each other. Sterling for £49m and Benteke for £35m. Apart from us who stole Cech from the Chavs for just over £10m that is
Exactly, Benteke wasn't exactly amazing either. The transfer window is crazy sometimes, thankfully we seem to be one of the few sane clubs left.
I actually really rate Benteke. Not sure he'll do that great for Liverpool though because their squad is a bit pants and their manager is s4ite. Do you think players like Benzema or Higuain would score significantly more than him at a team like Villa with their antifootball they've played for most of Benteke's time their under Lambert?
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...s-chelseas-rivals-are-trying-to-buy-the-title Mourinho: Chelsea's rivals are trying to buy the title. Pot, kettle, black?
I think the point he's subliminally trying to make is that, for all the criticism Chelsea get for large spending, other clubs have been guilty of the same too e.g. City, United. With City he has a fair point, although they do appear to be investing heavily in their youth system a lot more than Abramovich has at Chelsea and their manager isn't a massive ****er. But with United, the money they have to spend is a result of their success on the pitch and worldwide reputation, so it's not exactly the same.
I do agree that Man U always get off lightly as since the 90s they've been responsible for a large proportion of transfer records being broken and spend a lot of money. But look at Chelsea's team - Cuadadro bought for lots of money, can't get in the team, Costa bought for quite a lot, Hazard bought for £32m when a youngster ect. It's not like he's succeeding by youth. And to criticize other teams for spending when he's been doing it his whole career, and is only not doing it now because he did all his heavy spending last season and the season before, is laughable, and shows him up to be the twat that he is!
Looks like Di Maria is close to exiting Man U, if the press can be believed. I have to say, regardless of his poor 1st season, particularly the end of season, I still think Man U are fools to get rid of such a talented player - I think instead they should try playing him as a winger/wing forward with Depay and Rooney in a front 3 and I reckon he'll play much better this season. I'm just glad it'll be for PSG...
Totally agree. He is a top player that can cause any defence a problem in the EPL. Moving him on after just one season is foolish. I guess the rest of the teams will benefit from his absence.
