Vydra, I think will be alright in this league. Capoue and Behrami have never stood out to me. Holebas is a good player mate, he could be a good shout for a cheap player in this seasons fantasy league. I've heard of a couple more of the players but know nothing about them or the rest to make judgement on. I still reckon them and Norwich could both struggle to hit 25pts this season.
9 players of any nationality being chucked into a squad is going to cause them problems, it upsets players already there and flushes team chemistry down the drain. We know first hand with Di Fanti what flooding the squad with foreigners can do, we had some good players in there too.
Now, I would have thought that this is blatant tapping up. But, apparently, it isn't! http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...cks-in-dogged-pursuit-of-evertons-john-stones

What is tapping up though? I know Chelsea got done for it with Cole from Arsenal and I was under the impression it was discussing terms with the player before a fee has been agreed? If so I think that's how it works for 95% of transfers now.
That's what I'm trying to get at, really. To my mind, and to most others, I think, what Chelsea are doing in publicly courting Stones, is blatant tapping up. But, under the current rules, it isn't!
I see Cahill is carrying it on this morning. I wonder when it will dawn on him that he'll lose his place if Stones joins.
I agree with you just saying the 'rule' doesn't seem to exist anymore, many transfers are reported even by SKY/BBC that personal terms have been agreed just waiting on a fee to be agreed between two clubs. I know it happened with Lallana/Lovren last year. Suppose shows even more the power of agents, clubs aren't going to waste their time bidding if they're not sure the player was interested.
The key thing is whether the selling club have given the player permission. Possibly they do that before the fee is agreed so that it can move quickly once the fee is in place?
Fair point and probably true in a lot of cases, though not all and the situations where club aren't keen to sell I can't see them giving the player permission.
This is correct. Unsettling players isn't tapping up. Just a less than honorable tactic, but I'm convinced players own agents unsettle their own players with out them even knowing it. I'd say 90% of transfer links in the media are from Agents rather than inside itk information. Agents are feeding the media with rumors designed to unsettle their own clients to generate a better move or contract, all for some extra commission.
Yeah, it used to happen in my old business. For instance, Agent calls top premiership club & says "I've got a top striker on my books.he's unhappy and looking for a move, would you be interested?" They say possibly, and ask who it is, but of course that's confidential. Next step, call striker and say "I've been hold that there's a top premiership club interested in you. They're paying good money. Would you be interested?" Player: well possibly, who is it? Of course that can't be divulged. And, so there you are. Job half done, transfer on its way to hopefully being created - all out of nothing!

Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi, 28, has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge and is happy to see out the remaining two years of his contract with the Blues. (Source: TalkSport) Oh, ****! Never mind, guys. That doesn't mean he has to play.
Angel Di Maria... Cost United £60 million last Summer, to be sold to PSG this Summer for £46 million, incurring a loss to United of £14 million. Thats just a shade under £1.1 million for every month, over the year. Ouch! Mind you, it's great that United can throw money away like that. God forbid that any of the plastic mancs on this board try to argue that United are no longer looking to buy back their glory years!
Good advice HIAG and I can tell you're speaking from experience. Spurs have been trying it for nigh on 55 years and it hasnt worked
