It's small wonder that we are struggling to get new recruits and Mulumbu isn't smiling if we can't/won't pay that! Agree with everything you say though! Bah!
I don't want to be like QPR, but we could be like Saints or Swansea who have shown that combining a good footballing philosophy with one or two big money purchases to boost their already settled squad is the way to success. Swansea paid about £12 mil for Bony and got a very good return on him in terms of goals and the price they sold to ManC for. I really wanted Norwich to go after him, Bony, to be honest. He was the stand out player to buy in 2013.
I can't see why anyone would not be solidly behind AN. He's done a fantastic job since becoming our manager and has shown that he has potential to become a top 6 premier league manager, but that doesn't mean a) he won't make mistakes. b) that there aren't areas of management that he has little experience of or is untested in. c) that in some supporters eyes, he has already achieved a level of status, that his performances so far don't justify. d) it is possible to disagree with decisions he makes or things he does and still have a valid opinion and/or be right. e) there isn't still plenty of room for him to develop and improve his performance.
I think e) is what I'm most excited about with Alex. He's so early in his career that he must have a lot more to learn and figure out, yet he's already been pretty damn successful! He strikes me as the sort of person that loves the unknown challenges because he believes he can always figure out how to over come them! You just have to think back to the Bournemouth game when he's been thrown into a big game, we're a man down and he comes down from the stands, gets everyone focused and we win the game!
Crikey - just seen on the EDP website that 'Mustard TV' will be screening the games against Wet Sham and Brentford Live!!!! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...orwich_city_pre_season_matches_live_1_4164025
Just spotted that myself JR it also means that ex pats will be able to watch on the Mustard TV website. I feel a Match Day Thread coming on !
Annoyingly I can't get a Freeview signal where I live, so can't get the Mustard TV channel sadly. Edit. So I'll be able to watch it on their website?
Good win for the U21s, 2-1 against Gaziantepspor. Captain Thompson and Loza with the goals, Josh Murphy and McGrandles also feature in the write up. Miquel again used at CB. Certainly not weak opposition either, most of their XI featured prominently in a side that finished highly in the Turkish league. Not sure what stage of their pre-season this is though.
Oh totally. Best stream I've seen for a while. I speak a little German too so am picking up a few things here and there.
The music at Augsburg is really retro. Danny & the Juniors 'At the Hop', 'Hound Dog'. Where is 'Tell Laura I Love Her?'
