I give up! 'Luck out' was your phrase, not mine! I have never said anywhere that they would even be sold, let alone for big money. I just think they're all good prospects - which speaks well of our youth policy. Where has HIAG mentioned anywhere is his post, Spurs? It was a WUM at Liverpool! It appears that you seem to need reminding again, this is the Mouser watch thread!
Well that's the point I was making then. If you're not going to sell any of those players (not that you'd get big money for them anyway) and you've got no more Golden eggs after Kane is sold, then the Goose is knackered. The point about mentioning Spurs is that HIAGs WUM at Liverpool is basically a WUM at Spurs, because the very thing he's saying, that they got lucky selling their best players but won't have another windfall applies equally to Spurs (once Kane goes)
Yes, I rather suspected that you'd come up,with some spurious reason why Spurs had to be dragged into the thread, I'm so glad you haven't disappointed me. However, I'm afraid this is starting to bore me now, so I'll leave you and HIAG to resolve the finer points.
Why so much Spurs chatter on a thread about the Dippers (although I accept that the two clubs are very similar with the main difference being that Spurs are marginally better than the Dippers)?
Exactly, let's leave Spurs alone as they haven't* bought 8 mediocre players in this transfer window like Liverpool have *yet
I think Benteke's major problem is going to be getting Brenda to change the entire way that 'Pool play, so that Benteke can shine. Whether or not he has the right players to be able to do that, is another worrying factor. I cannot help but think that Benteke will go the same way as Carroll, since I view those two as very similar players. Carroll didn't play as well at 'Pool as he did at either The Toon or the Spanners, because 'Pool didn't arrange the team to play to Carroll's strengths. I can see it going the same way for Benteke. They say that a striker thrives on confidence, so it won't take very long for Benteke to become disprited. Their record-signing striker will be sold, a broken man, for peanuts to Stoke or Crystal Palace, in two years' time.
We were supposed to have run out of top players to sell sfter Carrick left, then after keane and Berbatov went, then after modric then bale, now it's kane...i guess one day they'll be right
Spurs have not made an offer for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, which could prompt Liverpool to move for the 25-year-old France international. (Daily Star Sunday) Why do 'Pool do this to themselves? It has been proven, time and time again, that when it comes to a straight choice between 'Pool and Spurs, that Spurs are viewed as the bigger and better club.
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, 24, has been offered a return to Italy - but with Serie C side Lupa Castelli. (Metro, via Sky Italia) There's taking the piss, and then there's playing for 'Pool!
He's a Chav more like, have you seen the amount of Chelsea arse licking he's been doing on here ? Liverpool could always be his second club I suppose ?
I see Balotelli eventually going into management. He'll be a manager in the Roy Keane mould. You know the type... "Do things my way or I'll break your legs, and **** team-spirit, fear is the only answer to this shower of ****e!" type.
Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson fears the Reds could be "undercooked" for the new campaign because of facing a lack of quality opposition in pre-season. (Liverpool Echo) Don't worry, Lawro, my son! 'Pool will be cooked like turkeys, just as soon as the new season commences.
