Tanadyce calling roll on 15:00 tomorrow probably the only game for me this season though. Bacon roll at the hprn seems apropriate beforehand
Good morning everyone. So, Tannadice today is it? I think it might be a decent enough test at this stage. That leaves Cardiff and Sevilla before the real stuff starts? I don't think we have ever been this well prepared before any season. This is the biggest squad we've had so far as I can remember. I do not think we will be bullied like we have been in the past. Anyway today is cider day with some good friends. Millwrights Rum Cask in particular, pressed just down the road in Broxbourne. Better than anything coming out of the South West.
Morning all, we had a shower of rain yesterday. Not that it amounted to very much, about ten minutes in total. Traveled across to a charity event in the Charente about 80 miles away and it fair tipped it down there, but by the time I returned the roads here were dry. I see that the WO have sent a reporter to Scotland for the friendly today. He claims he has worked for 88 hours over the past 8 days and will be adding to that total today. I used to think that being a football reporter for a local paper would be an ideal job, but had second thoughts when I read Ollie remembering cold wet Tuesday nights in February, waiting for a train to take him home from Rochdale.
We had plenty of rain here all day yesterday (Friday), the garden desperately needed it. It was pretty dull though and I wonder if some of the new foreign players had started thinking about the weather they had left behind?
Back from dundee. Theres a team onthe squad somewhere but the lads looked tired as Iif in the middle of very heavy training. Will come together around abdi I reckon.
A very acceptable result today. Apparently the performance wasn't too shabby either. I'm sure we're still wearing the weighed vests too. Feeling confident.
Good morning all from a promise of a very wet Weston-super-Mare, it hasn't started yet but apparently it's going to be non-stop all day! Have a good day!
It's raining heavily here. I'm supposed to be playing softball at 3 and matches take place in all weathers, except storms (lightning and metal bats isn't a good combination). There were complaints to the head of the Jersey Softball Association about the state of the pitches a couple of weeks ago when they were dry. I have no problem playing in the rain, but not if the pitch is dangerous. Our captain has said to assume the game is going ahead unless we hear from him otherwise.
Light showers forecast for here today starting at 10.00 am. So far nothing! Maybe I misread it. Perhaps it was showers of light.
Chucking it down here...and all the way back from Salisbury this morning. Definitely an indoors day...
Having watched as many stages of the Tour de France as possible over the last three weeks, I have been reminded of one of the habits that is becoming more popular in the UK, but it still has some way to go before it catches up with us across the Channel. It is the habit of kissing ladies. Whenever the stage winner, or yellow jersey holder goes onto the podium to collect his prize, there are two lovely ladies who hand over the flowers and a cuddly toy who expect to be kissed. Now the problem arises, just how many kisses do you give. Down south four is quite normal, two on each cheek. In the sleek city of Paris two is quite enough. My neighbour tells me that four is excessive and only for rough country folks, but as we are well south of the capitol three is the norm around here. It can be quite confusing as you stick your chin out and hope that although you are in the south, the lady who comes from a sophisticated area of a northern city does not think you are a local peasant.
