Let's hope so, we could do with getting his wages off the books.

Swansea City yet to receive contact from La Liga sides interested in signing Michu
It has been widely reported in Spain the 29-year-old is ready to head back Rayo Vallecano - the club he left for the Liberty in a £2m move three years ago

    Michu
Swansea City are still to receive contact from the Spanish sides eyeing up ending Michu’s stand-off in South Wales.

Rayo Vallecano sporting director Felipe Minambres confirmed on Wednesday the Madrid-based side had made their former star an offer to return to La Liga and that the ball was now in the player’s court.

And it has been widely reported in Spain the 29-year-old is ready to head back to the club he left for the Liberty in a £2m move three years ago, snubbing advances from Granada and Deportivo La Coruna in the process.

However, it is thought there has been no offer made to Swansea where Michu – once valued at £25m after a goal-laden Premier League breakthrough – still has 12 months left to run on his existing deal.

The problem michu has is he dont want to take a pay cut from his reported £40,000.per.week or £160,000 per month. Well im sorry michu you cant have everything your own way and if you want to play football then you should show some compromise....It wont be right for us to pay a portion of your wages for you to play for another club as that would be bad business on our behalf. You need to get a grip and play your part if you want a move away or if i was jinx i would make you come back and start training to earn your wages, If you dont come back then we are fully in our rights to sue and terminate your contract and you can look for a club on your own willing to pay you £160,000 per month and you know nobody is dull enough to pay you that.........wake up smell the coffee and come back to reality....you have done nothing in the last two years to warrant a wage like that......

We should ORDER him back ASAP and make him rot. If he refuses to return we fine him. Simple.

The club says they cant afford his wages and michu says he refuses a pay cut........where is his part in showing some compromise, he is the one who wants a move....like you valley i would say enough is enough we have done everything you wanted so we order you back to Swansea or face the consequences......I think he may back down then and agree to a pay cut that the club can afford.......Remember while all this rubbish is going on we are still paying him big bucks....i'ts like free money really and that is wrong and not how we should be doing business as a top club.....

Wages being wasted that can be used on another player. This is getting tedious now, he should be forced to return, if he doesn't return then he's in breach of contract etc etc.

What michu is doing is not that uncommon and fifa or someone should make a rule that with cases like this wages should be suspended....

If he refuses to work then that's a case for breach of contract and a dismissal surly?

But you are presuming that he is acting outside what the club is allowing. I would think that he is in discussions with several clubs right now and is deciding what his best options are, all with permission from the swans. He will be paid until he is signed by someone else, as his contract will state that

Agree Jager, if the club have told him to stay away, then that's not a problem as we would have to honor his contract. From the outside looking in as we all are is that Michu wants to leave (we all know that) but doesn't want to leave because of the wages behind he's pulling. Swans probably don't want to pay up his contract (who can blame them) and no club willing to pay the same salary. His transfer value is lets say is only 2m as been mentioned and looks like clubs are willing to pay that.

So now were in catch 22 over the whole thing, all I can see it's going to cost us a shed full of money. Personally to stop all the fannying around I'd pay up his contract so he can **** off.

If he cannot get the deal back in Spain that 'he wants' then we should not fund his wages if he continues to refuse to play or report back here in Swansea, that cannot be reasonable from him, and must surely be reason for the club to dock his wages?

Order him back and if he refuses then its a straight and forward breach of contract and we can sack him........stop pampering to his wishes and show some backbone, No player is bigger than the club so end this farce now.....

But you have no idea what arrangements have been made, you've said previously that he did come back to Swansea Dai, that meeting could have said you have no future here. So it means he must find another club.

And has his loan period hasn't really ended until the end of the season it's been a month only. We have an obligation to pay his wages if his contract says so, and we have agreed for him to leave.

All this breach of contract comments are presumption only, you don't know if that is the case at all. I would rather wait for the club to make that statement than people making wild guesses on here.

His loan period has ended or we would not be paying him wages, It is a fact that the Spanish club want him and its a fact he wants to join them but he is not willing to take a pay cut and the Spanish club have stated they cant afford to pay him £40,000 per week........so what should we do ? It is a situation of stalemate between michu and the Spanish club at our expense as we continue to pay.........order him back is the only way forward if we are going to settle this or michu can end it today by agreeing to a pay cut.....we have bent over backwards to accommodate michu and now we must give him an ultimatum with the new season about to start.

No Dai it doesn't work like that, he has a contract that we must abide by, we can't order him to take a pay cut, so we have the option of either paying off his contract, topping up his wages at whatever club he goes to for the remainder of his contract period, or hope against hope that some club will buy him and come to an agreement on his wages.

Your wrong jager We cant order him to take a pay cut and nobody has said we should anyway but we can order him back to the club for training and should he refuse then we have got him bang to rights and fully justified to sack him on the spot.......he is an employee not the employer....you do as your contracted to do or face the consequences....

Umm Dai unless the club have told him he is not part of the club going forward, which is on public record that they have. So that being the case he's effectively on gardening leave, which means we have obligations to pay him.

You have stated that he was back in Swansea earlier this month, the fact of which you were gloating on here that you knew something we didn't. Now isn't it conceivable that Jenkins has told him to leave? So it would mean he won't be reporting back to the club at all, when he finds new employment he will then cease being a Swansea player
