Mercedes looked strong in the rain so not good if you are looking for a race for the win.

Rain can always throw things up a bit, more chance of driver error, strategy **** up, safety car or it opens up the possibility of someone in a lesser car being able to do something special. If it's dry it's a procession.

I'm going for whoever wins dedicating it to Jules, and either having a french flag to wave from their car, or waving it from the podium.

Very unlucky Perez, first with the failure and then with the relatively slow flip.

Some shoddy build quality happening this weekend. Now the Ferrari is falling apart

Yes you can. I usually closs the poll before FP1 so people can't predict the race result if it is influenced by non-running in practice.

Thanks for that. Actually, that is good thinking and a set time to close the poll for each race based on FP1 is good because of all the time zone differences. I actually opened this thread first thing this morning, remembering that I hadn't voted; then I got distracted and forgot. Such things happen to me a lot! <laugh>

RBR looking handy as I thought on such a track. Toro Rosso again in the mix.

    Alonso 8th!

maybe, but it's a track with some similarities to Monaco (sans barriers), I'm not that surprised they're closer, I think it's a good car with a **** engine. Sunday will tell if they've made a step forward in reliability or not, then they've got to do something about the power and fuel consumption.

I reckon Ferrari will be behind both Williams and Red bulls today.
