Just a little bit of reading between the lines, I know it will interest you lot. Just seen Sir Alex on SSN talking about Owen, and saying that with Diouf and Macheda returning to the club, he's going to be picking from 6 strikers next year. I make that 6 to be Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov, Owen, Diouf and Macheda. Seems like Ferguson knows Welbeck isn't at the club for next season, potentially leaving on loan but I think he'll be looking to get him off the books for good with so many strikers at United.
I'd say Ferguson has more than enough quality at his disposal to loan Wellbeck out again. Fingers crossed here!
Good news yes but i would think Fergie still sees something in Welbeck he likes so it would only be a loan but thats fine by me and it covers Gyan when hes away for ACN and Frazer while he recovers from injury.
Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov, Owen, Diouf and Macheda --------------------------------------------------------- I do hope we get Welbeck, if only on loan can do the job of L/W or C/F if asked which is what we need atm. Rooney, Hernandez. Definates Berbatov, moving? Owen, Back-up. Diouf? Macheda, could be loaned out again...... This makes me think Welbeck will be in the mix for Manure this season unless they buy another!! Hoping I'm wrong. Welbeck want's playing time and it would be benificial if he came to S'land, imo.
For me, this is another N'Zobia moment. Every window is this going to happen. Offer to buy him. He or manure say no; move on. x
Speculation: Skysports.com understands Bolton are keen on signing young striker Danny Welbeck on loan from Manchester United.
Surely surely if anybody gets Danny Welbeck away from OT this summer, it HAS to be us? He knows the club and the area and by all accounts had a great time on loan here, really enjoyed himself. Get a bid in, try for permanent and if they say no, then fine, we'll have him on loan. But I reckon a £15m bid and we'd have him, Utd would use it to put towards their marquee CM.
You'd think he would choose us but there are other things he may take into consideration. The main one being that Bolton is near Manchester so he would not have to move house. Although I suppose it would all boil down to who offered him and Man U the best deal.
Maybe he would prefer to be away from Manchester though? Dont forget also, that as mentioned Valencia can operate up front and so can Young. Welbeck isnt going to get more than 6 games next season or he could get 30+ at SAFC. At his age, he cannot afford to be 6th or 7th choice striker at ANY club, even one of the very biggest in the world.
