What would your first team look like? We'd probably look something like: ---------------------- Pantilimon ---------------------- Matthews - Coates - Kaboul - Van Aanholt --------------- Cattermole - Rodwell -------------- ------------------------ Giaccherini ------------------- ---- Wickham -------------------------- Lens ------- --------------------------- Defoe -------------------------
Schmeichel Morgan- Huth- Wasilewski Albrighton- Drinkwater- King- Schlupp Mahrez Vardy- Ulloa Frustrating, because that's a poorer team than last season (only change from the final game is Drinkwater for Cambiasso).
can take Morgan out of all the above, he wont start the season as is being rested. so Schmeichel Huth Wasilewski Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater King Hammond Schlupp (Midfield will be stronger with at least one new "quality" addition) Vardy Ulloa
I couldnt name the first 11, though i believe it will be something like below. The /s indicate 1 of the 2 will take that place. Schmeichel Wasyl Huth Moore/Morgan/Fuchs Albrighton Drinkwater King Fuchs/Schlupp Mahrez/Kramaric Okazaki/Vardy Ulloa/Vardy Only ones i see def starting are Wasyl, Huth, Albrighton, as their positions are pretty un-opposed. Mahrez also looking good for a starting spot.
Just wish that Mahrez had a bit more end product. Having just watched the club's 2014/15 review (great value for a tenner), I was surprised how greedy he was and most of his shots from 20-25 yards were more like back passes. Sometimes he finds the corner of the net but he needs to spend his mornings down Burger King and the afternoons in the gym (or probably the other way round!).
You'd play a 5-1-1-1-1 and only field 10 players? Even a 5-1-1-1-2 amuses me beyond words I was right to laugh at your football knowledge, i feel good about myself today knowing I made the right call.
I noticed he's not replied, surprised though, when he can't answer anymore he usually comes out and calls you a WUM or does something to kill the subject
Yes that's exactly what I meant ... but I'm pleased that you feel good about yourself ...as a Sunderland that must be quite an exclusive event ...
... blimey we do get some toss apples on here but you really take the biscuit ... ... some of us have other interests beyond constantly sitting on an internet forum ... and "kills the subject" "Sunderland are a bigger club than Leicester discuss" ... without arguing otherwise, I attempted to demonstrate the shifting dynamics of football .. e.g Chelsea since Abramovich took over ... but you were only interested in your 'facts' ... that your club once won some trophies hence you are a big club .. ... and you are a WUM .. just as Fuggy is ... he showed his true colours on the thread on your board where John Cardew ripped him (and Smug) proverbial new ones ... he resorted to personal abuse pretty quick ... both you and him look to get bites from other fans, claiming it is 'banter' if those fand get irritated, and that you were merely 'fishing' all the timea befor self congratulating yourselves on acheiving your aim ... ... pretty pathetic ... as to Sunderland being a big club ? ... I visited Roker Park in the 80s when you could barely get more than 20k through the gates ... you've won nothing since 1973 (before you were born) and you consistently finish behind your closest rivals every year ... oh dear as to this thread if you'd red it in its' entirety (I realise that might be stretching your attention span) you'd see that Fuggy's typical self acclamation was a little premature .. ... however given that you are desperate for my attention ... I'll explain Schlupp and Albrighton as wing backs with Drinkwater sitting just in front of the defence .. Mahrez allowed to float and Kramaric playing in the hole behind the front 2 (see revised post where Vardy is included) - .. now the player list was not meant to be taken as a literal 'formation' more the result of what my IT allowed .. I doubt it needed explaining to Leicester fans but not suprised it has needed to be to particular 'guests' ...
