Seems to be a fair few rumours going around that sissoko is the subject of an £18m bid from spurs.

To be honest I'd take that, on his day he's a cracking player but very frustrating & tends to go missing a lot. Then again that could be due to the crap surrounding him!

I'd take anything over 8/9m for him as long as it would be reinvested. He doesn't want to stay and he's inconsistent.

My thoughts exactly, for that sort of money it's a no brainier. Use the cash to get some new "hungry" talent through the door.
But the likelihood of someone coughing up that amount seems very unlikely and in that case it would be interesting to see how he reacts to some genuine competition for places. He would definitely have to start grafting harder, especially if he wants to stay on the radar of the French national side.

This is Spurs we are talking about. They've got a good record recently for paying over the odds for players.

18m is more than fair. Personally I'd prefer we keep him and retain the quality/numbers. I want us to push on this season. If he wants to go then get shot of course as we don't desperately need him.

However, I assume that the constant link to midfielders such as Banega is that Sissoko maybe off?!

Given that he plays regularly for France, has been in the EPL for a couple of seasons and is still only 25 he probably looks like he should be worth over £12m region to an outsider. As people who see him week in and week out I'd accept £10m but no less, I do think that with a few better players around him he looks a good player. Too many times last season he was expected to carry a midfield and attack when surrounded by the likes of Anita, Gouffran, Riviere, Sameobi, etc.

We have some very good midfielders and he could shine, my main reticence is that we haven't signed enough players for me to start getting interested in fees for selling first teamers.

Sell and bring in a right side specialist. Sell to pay for Wijnaldum and its same old story.

No. Don't sell. See what he can do this season. I think hes got real potential to be great. Could be worth 30 mio in a years time.

I'd snap their hands off for anything over £15m, but only if it's re-invested on a specialist right-winger. Someone who can beat players and put in a decent cross.

If he is going to be played out wide this season £18mil is a great piece of business, if he is to play CM I'd hold on to him to see what he can do with some quality players around him. End of the day though we should be looking to shift Gouffran, Marveux and Obertan from the wide positions before anything else .... And Willo before that

Yes we should be looking to shift those players but the problem is who will buy them?

Anything over 10 million for me...not a bad return for fat mike on 2 million ish??? especially for a player that had the number of cracking games you can count on 2 hands since here with us.

As Player has all the ability...just never produces it with any consistency ..plus looks half interested most of the time...mind the whole team looked that way last season too

Usual proviso ...as long as the money is reinvested...be much better hungrier leaner meaner more consistent CMs out there.. or get in a proper wide player

As with others, I'd happily take the £18 mill (can't believe anyone would be that stupid, but then again it is spurs apparently) as long as the money was re-invested for a quality right winger.

Give them away, pay someone to take them, shoot them and take the insurance money. That last one sounds like the best option to me

Hope he stays, but one good game in every five isn't enough.

Williamson is also being priced at £18M but sadly there have been no takers.

Cashley has authorised Penfold to go up to £20M but not to pay a penny more.
