To my defence, I woulda watched more than 15 games last season (none live unfortunately, but it'd be a hell of a commute) and I agree you don't see the whole game but you still see enough to make a judgment, its ridiculous to say otherwise. You don't see how people position themselves and organise the team around them but you do see, lets say when a centre back is continually beaten one on one, or lets say when a centre back gives the ball away in the middle of the park needlessly, or lets say when a striker runs straight through the defence when, lets say a centre back is no where to be seen. You can make these judgments, the guy is very poor and not what we require to get promoted from this division. He NEEDS to up his game this season. And on a side note, he hardly played regularly. He started 25 games out of a possible 49.
We'll just need to disagree on the one, Josh. It's all about opinions. I'll give you this much, though - he's not the finished article, and I may have been over-crediting him as I directly compared him to Pearce, who he effectively replaced. Still think he's definitely got a part to play for us. Btw, when are you coming over for your next visit? We'll need to set up a meet-up (with a bit better planning than some of our efforts this season )
Thats fair enough, as I said I just can't imagine him in a promotion winning team. Actually looking at sometime next feb. Probably for a 3 week stint or so, hopefully fixtures are nice and I can get a couple games in at least.
That is my approach to posting here in general..... If someone makes a counter point it's often just to get others thinking and making a case.
