If Bergkamp's fee was a transfer record it was a 'huge' amount. That has to be a given surely? The fact he went on to do so well does not escape the fact that it was a huge sum of money at the time. It's like United fans who conveniently forget how many massive transfers they made back in the 90's and early 00's like Keane, Cole, RVN, Rio, Veron, Rooney etc. Mostly good players but that tends to follow when you keep breaking transfer records. Arsenal have spent a lot of money on transfer fees and wages to maintain their status in the top 4. The fact Spurs have historically spent their money more poorly or Chelsea have spent more money period doesn't change the fact. Yes you have 'earned' it and well done on that. You only had to fleece your fans with ridiculously high ticket prices and sell your soul when naming your stadium to do it...well done.
What I don't get, is that if Arsenal are this brilliantly run club we should all be looking up to, and that they play this amazing football we should all be envious of...why is it they have the moaniest fan base in the country?
It's just like the Mousers and Manure, a sense of entitlement. Won't be long before you lot get it!...
Spurs board really is the home of the intellectually redundant, isn't it? I'd love to see this ****ing projection like, Mr Accountant What a tit. Selling Bale for 85 million may have gone some way to reducing the deficit, but you better ****ing believe Spurs make a deficit. We have more fans, more people buying merchandise, tickets etc, even when we're protesting, and we barely make a profit whilst being complete tightarses.
You mean you have a bigger stadium, into which you can fit more spectators? That does not necessarily equate to having more fans! Of course you sell more tickets, for the very same reason! And ditto for the merchandise. And you call us intellectually redundant? I'm surprised you can spell it!
Spurs make a loss? Someone other than Piskie might take this seriously if we hadn't posted the highest ever profit in Premier League history last season. You're not even right about your own club, as they reported a profit of nearly £19m. You're revenue's substantially lower than ours, so you might want to try and learn a bit about the subject before spouting off. You'd look a lot less clueless and make a few less stupid claims.
From the guardian: "Spurs’ finances speak of a club making ready to build the long-planned new stadium and two figures leap out. The first is the £80m profit, the largest ever made by an English football club; Spurs say this was effectively the proceeds of selling Gareth Bale to Real Madrid which was then reinvested in new players." One a scale of one to dumbass... 39
So, your record profits, your bullshit about spending what you make, is just that, bullshit. It was one player balancing the books on what has been a decade of serious ****ing spending to get into the top four
We've made £56m on transfers over the last five years. Newcastle have a net spend of around £50m over the same period. You've outspent us by over £100m on transfers in that time. You really haven't got a clue what you're talking about. Please stop now, as you're embarrassing yourself.
Erm... you've ****ing spent a fortune on players. Your net spend is helped out by ONE TRANSFER you absolute gimp.
You sold Andy Carroll for an absolute fortune in that time and he's ****ing ****. Your net spend is far higher than ours, because you sign players, ruin them all, flog them for peanuts and then have to start again. Absolutely ****ing clueless. Stick to punching horses.
Well that's slander, I would never hit your mum after I ****ed her. SInce the premier league started... Your club has spent £624,500,000 and sold £484,817,500 Our club has spent £439,245,000 and sold £302,825,000 Arsenal has spent £541,565,000 and sold £405,174,000. Which net spend is the highest, you smelly bumhole? I'm sure you've got enough fingers to count, we'll wait...
Your mum insults? Are you 12? I'm not sure that Premier League spending is an entirely fair comparison, as you've not been in it for the whole time. Are you including your time in the lower leagues? Arsenal's wage bill dwarfs ours. That's where their money goes. We both spend what we earn though, while you keep stacking up debt, doing **** all and going down. I'm sure we've outspent other small teams too, so I'm not sure what your point is.
