Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers

    Cowboys Stadium
    Arlington, Texas

So the superbowl is just 2 weeks away!

It sees 2 of the best and most exciting quarterbacks in the NFL outside of the obvious Brady/Manning debate go head to head,

Ben Roethlisberger started the season with a 6 match ban for unacceptable behaviour (a drinking problem) which was reduced to 4 matches, yet has ended it in the form of his life, showing real strength of character to turn his life around (again...). He's the more experienced of the two with 2 superbowl rings already in his collection.

Aaron Rodgers ended last season in the form of his life and has continued it throughout the 2010-11 season, unbelievebly he's been snubbed for the NFC Pro-Bowl team but this season he's shown consistency no current NFL QB has shown in years. For a relative rookie to the game his QB rating has excelled to the best in the history of the NFL (min.1500 passes made) though it'll be hugely difficult for him to maintain that through his career. This is his first taste of a Super Bowl though so he'll need to keep the calm demenour that he's shown all season if he wants to end his opposite number's perfect Super Bowl record and start his own.

Both teams are evenly matched, both have free-scoring offenses & sturdy defenses, it could come down to the special teams and the field position they set their offense up with.

To those of you who find a few minutes to read my take, thanks! i hope you all take it in and make a point of watching a bit of it.

I want the Steelers to win, basically because I am a Bears fan and can't stand them!

They were the better team on Sunday though, especially the first two quarters!

It's going to be a great game, either a shootout or a defensive show, I reckon Rodgers will have to clear any big game butterflies and put in an Atlanta style performance to beat the Steelers D.

Packers for me, as a Packers fan it's the first Super Bowl I'm really excited to watch.

If Aaron Rodgers hadn't been snubbed for the pro-bowl i'd be torn as to who i'm supporting, but now i really want them to win and him to get MVP just to show how wrong it was he's not going. He's had such an amazing year and his form in the post-season has been something else!

I like the Steelers though so i wouldn't be gutted if they won.

    I can't wait anyway, it's gonna be a cracker!! <somersault><somersault>

Definitely, not amazing in the last game but prior to that he's been phenomenal. If he plays like he can I don't think there's a chance Steelers will win it

Can't decide who I want to win tbh.

    Colts fan.

Been impressed with the Packers recently.

Maybe it's their turn to win it, Steelers a bit greedy with 3/6 years appearances!

I had the Packers at 6/1 to win the NFC at the start of the season so I'm happy about that!

I'll be rooting for the Packers because I've been rooting for them for most of the season (Cowboys fan, so season was over quite early for me!)

As a long-standing Bears fan it pains me to say I hope the Packers win on Sunday, at least we'll have gone out to the winners!

Normally i'd agree with you, but i know a lot of people (me included) who thought the same thing last year...

Maybe lightening can strike twice? Though it wouldn't be nearly as impressive as that Saints team, at least some people are backing the Pack!

im sure i saw a poll on an nfl website the other day aswell and it was 60 40 in favour of the packers, it really does all depend on rodgers turning up though

At the moment, according to the game lines, Packers are 2.5 point favourites to win the game! If that goes to 3.5 points I might be putting a sizable figure on the Steelers.

2 great teams this season. The Packers game against the Falcons was immense! Although I am a Steelers fan and they sure know how to grind out victories.
