So with Bentekkers signed I think we're done. Like most I'd like to see a midfielder and centre back but I don't think Rodgers does. I think this thread is done until Jan.

I just want to whisper.. lfc have never in all the years of 25 man squads named a full 25.

We have named as low as 19.

We still need cover at left back and I would like to strengthen the midfield - probs need to sell Lucas or Allen first.

At this point we already need to move 4 players who have zero role so yes. If lb cones Enrique must go. If cm comes I personally think we are a bit light there but I think balotelli has to go really as well as lambert and borini.

Lambert will go I reckon... borini is angling to get a free I think. He is ruining his career.

Echo saying Lambert & Borini will be gone within two weeks. WB/Norwich and Fiorentina...

All in all a fairly solid transfer window I have to say. Has it ended though?

Yeah we could do with a DM, but you can't always get exactly what you want. The 4 players that go straight in (Clyne, Milner, Firmino, Benteke) are all very capable players, so I'm happy with that <ok>

Borini and Lambert are definites to go.

I would still keep Mario because I rather Origi goes out on loan.

Enrique has to go as well - poor attitude and a sicknote.

All will go IMHO.. Mario most likely towards the end of the window...
If the interest in that chap from PSG is true then that surely will be the end for Enrique, he's only one year left, could be a case of letting him go on a free...
Others may disagree, but I'm happy with the work we've done this window!
Gel them together, no more passangers this year, players playing their proper positions, no more players wanting to leave causing disruption!

Liverpool have made contact with Marco Reus over a shock move to Anfield, according to reports.

The Reds are still in the market this summer for a big money marquee transfer, and Borussia Dortmund star Reus has been strongly linked.

And after reports emerged that Liverpool are set to try hard to sign him, Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri ‏says contact has been made with Reus over a transfer.

No bid has been made yet and Liverpool would have to pay £47.8million to do business for the Germany international, but he remains a major target.

Real Madrid are also believed to be keen on Reus.

It would be a statement! That John and the boys had found Arsenes supplier, were throwing down a dozen hotdogs and cold calling club presidents putting on Ayres voice....<giggles quickly hushed in background>

Surely Origi is a better option that Balo? Sell him would make sense, he isn't on the tour and Rodgers has made a comment that it's up to him if he goes or not which I read as "not wanted".

In one sense, yes- because they were prepared to pay that amount to get him, but that doesn't mean he's considered to be worth that much in the sense that he's twice as good as someone half the price.
We wanted the player, and we had no choice other than to meet the buy-out price. Buy-out clauses aren't a fair evaluation of a player, initially they're an attempt to put off would-be suitors because the club want to keep him. If you do have to let him go, then make sure you get stupid money for him.

The Reus talk seems more like his agent trying to get Real interested and to get involved.

I'd find it hard to believe we have £50m transfer money left and that we spend it a player whose two positions we have about 5-7 players already in each. Granted he's better than all of them but there are other areas of the team as well.

If any of that Reus story is true, he's going to Madrid. Could be any club who's the stalking horse.

So Benteke signed... And we still don't have a decent backup to Studge.<confused>

I suppose I should support Heskey Jr. now. He's not that bad... Just too expensive and doesn't fit our style. Maybe Klopp can put him to good use.

He won't be joining us. We don't have the cash to go splash another 50m... And then there's the whole thing of him wanting to join !
