The shirt numbers have been announced on the Liverpool website. The newbies have taken these... 2. Clyne 7. Milner 11. Firmino 12. Gomez 27. Origi 28. Ings 34. Bogdan Twelve is quite a low number for Gomez. Twenty-seven is common for a striker (2+7=9) and one that Robbie Fowler took when he returned tot he club.
excellent info there gerrez. we expected firmino to take 11 but it had not been announced. they needed to do that the instant he was signed for shirt sales It will be interesting to see who gets the next lot of 1-11 numbers. 1, 5, 8..... no 3 and no 9 should soon be available too. ............ the lfc website still has manquillo having no 19 btw.
Can't see us signing a keeper so the number one shirt will remain vacant. I don't think anyone will be brave enough to take the number eight for a season or two. Will we sign a CB...?
I doubt it. 4 should be a CM shift but toure has it and so 5 is not ideal for a traditional CM. no 5 is a bit **** in the prem for us. Mark Wright, Steve Staunton, Milan Baros, Daniel Agger
mark wright might have been england captain but he was bought and promptly injured and lost two years for us. he had a late swansong for us in the back 3 but lets face it he was a disaster for the fee at the time.

He wore No.20 at Villa. That is Lallana's shirt. Maybe Lallana will get the No.8 and let Benteke keep No.20
Lallana wore 20 at Southampton so it's 'his' number as well. I think Benteke will go for 25 in line with his season goal tally - Yoda - Milner's taken number 7.
