I'm hoping the ticket office can help us out .. If not the Vic will lose a vocal female supporter and we will be watching Northampton Town this coming season ( I dislike MK Dons, my closest league side as much as Luton ) . Shelley had a good first season following the 'orn's . First game saw 7 goals in a half and on final day got to shake hands with Joka and Mr. Deeney .
Ticket office very helpful . The boss lady now has her own cat B fan id . So if anyone else is in the same position , it should only take a phone call to sort out . As a side point ... When Watford were previously promoted to the prem , did ticket prices come back down upon relegation ? ( I'm feeling reasonably confident the 'orns will stay up this time around ) .
£36 for the WBA game. Expensive but actually much less than I had feared. Just have to hope I get one now!
certainly more than the £3.75 it used to cost me when aged around 20 . If I live long enough I might have to shell out £350 for a ticket at this rate .
Keen fans should still be ok , the extra bit of capacity will help a small bit ...and sadly the price hike will be too much for a few . Just hoping the 'orns stay up this year .. and the owners decide to add the second tier on the SEJ stand .. a few thousand more on the capacity will be great for atmosphere , revenue and non season ticket holders .
Is there an option for a 2nd tier on the SEJ? I don't remember that being mentioned. I thought we had a problem doing anymore with the SEJ as it can't go up any higher than the houses in Liverpool Road due to planning permission issues?
It was always built with the intention to expand. The piles are deep enough to take a cantilever over the top. Not sure quite how they will go about it but the existing seat rake is quite steep meaning that if they do expand above the stand will be quite shallow and the rake will be even steeper.
Shame to see there was the odd sour moment at the game on Sunday... http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2015/07/the-ugly-side-of-the-win-over-sc-paderborn/ "Watford Youth" - A group if kids managed to get time off school and afford the trip to Germany?
"Added Adrian Evans: “We have some terrible fans. Even if the players came over and gave them a grand they’d still complain. Those same people are probably thinking we should replace Quique with Neil Warnock (yes, I have actually heard that).”" If he really heard that he needs to report these people to the authroities as they should not be allowed to roam the streets unsupervised.
Pleased to see that Almen Abdi has signed a new 3 year contract. One of the players who looks PL class.
WATFORD have strengthened their squad further with the permanent signing of experienced Uruguayan defender Miguel Britos. The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Vicarage Road. Britos joins the Hornets from Italian Serie A side Napoli, where the central defender played more than 100 times between 2011 and 2015.
And Jurado from Spartak now confirmed. Still at least 2 more to come including Berghaus & his Dad also as a coach! Apparently That story doing the rounds so who from last season will be even in the matchday squad?!
Being rubbish at this sort of thing I'll go for: Gomes, Angella, Cathcart, Abdi, Watson and Deeney to start plus either Vydra or Ighalo - at least initially. It gives a spine who are used to playing with each other. Who will be starting come the middle of September or so when the rest of the squad is bedded in is anybody's guess. An abundance of riches.
To give a conclusion that I think is up to date as of today regarding transfers: IN Sebastian Prodl Werder Bremen - Watford (01/06/15) Giedrius Arlauskis Steaua Bucharest - Watford (04/06/15) Matej Vydra Udinese - Watford (01/07/15) Jose Holebas AS Roma - Watford (02/07/15) Etienne Capoue Tottenham Hotspur - Watford (06/07/15) Valon Behrami Hamburg - Watford (11/07/15) Allan Nyom Udinese - Watford (14/07/15) Miguel Britos Napoli - Watford (22/07/15) Jose Manuel Jurado Spartak Moscow - Watford (22/07/15) OUT Jonathan Bond Watford - Reading (04/07/15) Uche Ikpeazu Watford - Port Vale (loan) (13/07/15) Lewis McGugan Watford - Sheffield Wednesday (16/07/15) Read more at http://www.watfordfc.com/news/artic...nings-201516-2532654.aspx#12W3lqI026oXcUwj.99
The final is on Sunday so could be back on Tuesday but may be given more time off. The problem for him is that the season starts soon and if he wants to be in the 25 he needs to be training amd available for selection. Afterall he will need to perform as he he borderline at best now for a spot.
