I read this elsewhere so I assume it says the same thing, but her reference to "what happened" certainly implies something serious occurred which we don't know about and likely never will.
Of course something serious occurred, that's obvious. Like you say shame we will never know what naughty Nigel did
Some would have us believe that he was sacked after an accumulation of his public antics combined with difference of option over his son. Don't forget the club themselves only called it a difference of opinion, but the hints are its more than that.
I know that a sacking because his son's actions were makes the most sense but I can't help but think Okazaki's signing might have something to do with it.
That thought crossed my mind. As I said on here yesterday, I believe that signing to be 100% that of the owners.
The article cites a 'turbulent season' in which the manager swore at a supporter, called a reporter an ostrich and saw his son sent home for a 'scandal' .... and that the club felt a change was necessary to fulfil the long term vision ... happy for anyone to think there must be an unknown 'biggy' that tipped the scales ... for me it is simpler, but it is just my opinion... there is no doubt that the club were not impressed with the Palace choking episode (not mentioned in the article) ... was he sacked at that point? who knows? ... but it seems obvious that the owners were less than impressed ... why it should therefore be inconceivable to some that the actions of his son and (possibly) his reaction to the club's preferred course of action (summary dismissal) was the proverbial 'straw' is baffling to me ... maybe just me?
A manager who attacks his club's supporters, the media & opposition players, to one degree or another, is living on borrowed time.
Yes I know, everyone does, that's why I specifically said 'to one degree or another' ..... .... it doesn't alter the fact that behaving like a Neanderthal won't sit well with the owners. If Pearson was a Mourinho he might just get away with it but he's an average manager with an oversized ego. The Leicester owners appear to be decent & reasonable people who seem to dislike Pearson's thuggish character. If a Leicester supporter attacked an opposition player I'd expect you to be saying he should receive a banning order.
He shouted abuse at someone who had been giving it all game to Nigel, he didn't "attack" any opposition player and the media might expect a **** answer when they ask a **** question. As it's illegal to go onto the pitch without permission, yes.
It doesn't matter any more and there is no point in defending him - he has nothing to do with us. Lets look forward now.
As a Watford fan I'm quite enjoying this - purely because it has stopped the media's obsession with our 5 managers in 9 months. Joking apart good luck for the season - cannot wait for it to start now.
I supect the same but Steve Walsh did say we have been chasing him for sometime But from Tops interview a few weeks back he did say he wants more asain players here
Shouting abuse is a verbal attack. You only have 'Nigel's' word that he'd been 'giving it all game'. Yes he did attack an opposition player. If he didn't please explain what you'd say it was if someone did the same thing to you. His comments to the reporter were cringing and could be seen as an attack on his credibility. As I have to remind you once again ........ I said, "to one degree or another."
You can't say "to one degree or another" to cover your bases like that "Leicester are the greatest team in the world to one degree or another".
