Well, we've had a thread predicting who will be relegated so why not predict which managers will be sacked this season? I'm sure everyone can pick three names?

    Mine are:
    1) Ranieri
    2) Tim Sherwood
    3) Dick "lord of the mackems" Advocaat

Ranieri because Leicester are dead certs for going down. They've just lost their best player Cambiasso because he dislikes the new manager & look like they're signing nobody. They're doomed, and he will get the chop by Jan, or walk.

Tim Sherwood because Villa are going to struggle terribly, and when his teams struggle Sherwood get's snappy. He'll have one of his infamous interview rants, and fall out with the board. He's just that kind of guy I fear. Not to mention, Villa are really down the mire, their owners completely dropped the ball this window (so far!) and if they continue as they are, they're another relegation candidate.

Dick simply because I like how the mackems speak about him as a protective father keeping the monster in the closet away, and I honestly don't think they've got a squad capable of keeping him in a job. Just like Poyet, Dick will get the chop.

As I put on my helmet awaiting the mackem hate, do any of you guys have some predictions? The more outlandish the better.

Why a helmet? A one year contract makes it easier to get rid.

For what it's worth, I think both dick and the wolly will do alright.

Of the top teams br and pellegrino could well be in trouble.

The lesser teams, other lthan raniei or Sherwood that you mentioned, any that do badly, take your pick, could be any of about 14.

I hope Martinez goes, he really bugs me. Has crazy eyes, looks like an eagle or a hawk, and talks annoyingly.

Agree with you completely. Something about him, he wouldn't look out of place in a kids play ground with a pencil moustache.

Also Van Gaal if Man Utd don't do enough, they've now got the best midfield in the league, and a nice looking squad overall. They have to be challenging.

I have this odd feeling Brucie will end up managing in the prem at some point next year.

Quique Flores has got to be the favourite to be first to go. Watford go through managers like we go through protest blankets. Its something like 6 in 3 years I think.

Of the others I could see Sherwood being in trouble if Villa struggle, and Renieri wont get too long at Leicester if they are down there again. Brenda will be in big trouble if Liverpool don't look like challenging for honours or champions league. I think Alex Neill at Norwich is a good manager. A lot will depend on getting enough funds to not struggle.

Bournemouth would be mental to sack Eddie Howe - though that doesn't mean it wont happen.

I think Dick will be safe. He wont be under as much pressure as SM, and I think there will be enough worse teams in the league to see Sunderland coasting fairly safely in the bottom half. The worst that will happen to Dick is that he would be moved upstairs if things were going very badly - which I don't expect to happen. He's on a one year contract and it will be seen as a year of transition and steadying the ship - much like it should be with SM (so I hope we give him the patience to build things up cos it wont be overnight).

Martinez should be ok through the season at Everton, though if they don't improve significantly on last year I think he could be ditched at the end of the season.

Would agree that Levy isn't going to sit on his hands too long if the team aren't firing, Watford as noted have a history of trigger happy hiring and firing, you also look at Everton and wonder if they will have much patience with Martinez if he doesn't get a good start, Lukaku didn't look like value at £25 million last season either.

    You're Pardew's biggest fan innit? I fancy a bet.

£10 he gets sacked this season. Double it if it's before Xmas. Double it for you if he finishes with Palace on more than 40 points.

Nah I think he gets a rough deal but he is far from ideal on many levels as a manager. He did the job required here. Most of it is just working my ticket <laugh>

I wouldn't take the bet either. I think Palace will struggle, I don't think the squad is as great as some suggest. Defensively they look weak. He had a good spell last season (actually it was better than good) but I actually just think he made his job harder.

I think Palace will do well first half and tail off, like ACS suggested. Pardew gets them fit, so they do well until everyone who has focused on style of play in pre-season catches up in the fitness stakes. I reckon they're good for 46 points next year. I expect us to get around the same, Sunderland to get significantly less, and Dick to be the second manager sacked, after watford's.
