No problem, you should see some of them on General Chat as they think 140 pound movie star Bruce Lee, would have beat the hell out of 230 pound Mike Tyson<laugh>

Never seen that debate but I would take Bruce Lee everyday over Tyson. How do you hit that which can not be hit ???

    Oh dear <laugh>

Bruce Lee was an instructor turned movie star, he wasn't s fighter, he never had a real fight.

It really does make me chuckle that half the world have been brainwashed into believing he was some sort of super human fighting machine. When he was nothing of the sort

Depends on what the fight was I suppose doesn't it? A straight up boxing match obviously Tyson wins. MMA then you'd probably go with Lee

Who says he can't be touched?
You say it like Bruce Lee was an MMA fighter, he never had one fight in his life. Where as Tyson was a trained boxer, and not just any boxer the heavyweight champion , who was 90 pounds heavier than Lee. Tyson would rip him apart with the minimal of fuss. He was the baddest man on the planet after all

You seem to really dislike Bruce Lee. He did actually fight it's a common myth that he was just an actor who taught. I'm not saying he was a fighting legend who had an awesome professional career but in an MMA fight using different styles against a one dimensional boxer he would have done pretty well. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying Tyson was one dimensional as a boxer (I meant in the context of him in the octagon he would be) he is an all time great and although he has his critics he deserves his legendary status.

No it's a common myth that he was a fighter, and there is no evidence of him fighting for real. So I suggest you show me some evidence of him in a real fight?

You'll be along time looking for it as there is none.

Good, I won't argue then haha. I should point out I'm not a Bruce Lee fan in particular and have never even seen Enter The Dragon but one of my child hood friends was obsessed with him and Van Damme. He will not hear a word against either ad is adamant that Bruce Lee is genuine. I always thought he was. The internet, on a general search seems more for him been genuine than not and there are some accounts of him in actually fights but who knows.

Well Jean Claude Van Dam was a very good fighter, as he proved himself in competition as a kick boxer, so he was certainly for real.

Most people who are involved in MMA are of the opinion that Bruce Lee was a great martial arts tutor but believe it is highly unlikely that he was a great fighter, as he had plenty of opportunity to compete in MMA matches but chose not to.

Chuck Norris and Lee used to mess around on the film sets, and Norris always said Bruce Lee was good for a non fighter. Make of that what you will:biggrin:

He might do, though I'm not completely convinced, as jockeys are only concerned about losing weight rather than fat, and as muscle weighs more than fat I'm sure they sacrifice more muscle.

When a bodybuilder is cutting down to 7%, they are lifting weights regularly to help preserve the muscle, so their body burns more fat instead of muscle. Where as a jockey couldn't care less either way just aslong as they lose the weight:biggrin:

I don't know whether Lee was a fighter, but I believe that if both he and Tyson were at their peak, placed in a ring and asked to fight under boxing rules, Bruce would have been in a world of trouble. At his best, Mad Mike was the real deal.

Just a thought. At their best, Tyson v Klitschko?
