English people who travel abroad to sit in an English pub for 2 weeks.![]()
It was such a pathetic dig that I couldn't be ****ed to say much the same as you just did.But it's not just English people who do that is it? Plenty of Scots and Irish in British / Irish pubs.
Funny thing is it doesn't piss me off - whilst they're all in those kind of places the rest of us, on the whole, get treated brilliantly in the local bars and restaurantsIt was such a pathetic dig that I couldn't be ****ed to say much the same as you just did.
I find forrin bar/cafe/restaurant owners extremely welcoming. It does help that we Brits are known for spending our money, we don't sit and nurse a bottle of lager for three hours like some of the locals do.Funny thing is it doesn't piss me off - whilst they're all in those kind of places the rest of us, on the whole, get treated brilliantly in the local bars and restaurants
