    Anelka was a great player for us!
    Even won the PL golden boot one year if I recall (albeit with a low score, like 19 or something, slim pickings that year).
    But Anelka was a great buy for us

    All I remember of him in a Chelsea shirt was the dejected figure missing a penalty which most have forgotten thanks to Terry.

    Tbh I dont doubt what you say but Jose was thoroughly unimpressed and that eventually led to his demise with Roman. His dog leaving him was totally unrelated... but who could blame it <whistle>

    Think that was more to do with the Shevchenko fiasco than anything else.
    It wasn't that roman wouldn't give him the cash, it was that he was dictating which players Jose had to buy.
    ****ing hate it when Chairmen do that. Hopefully Shevchenko being an epic fail taught him a lesson. But probably not.
    I bet Carlo was probably forced to buy Torres too,
