Aaaand the links with Monaco players begins... Apparently we are in advanced talks with Marcel Tisserand, a full-back by trade. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...r-news-Marcel-Tisserand-Monaco-advanced-talks
Some brief research suggests he is a RB. If we go back to 4 at the back, then, IMO, Schlupp and Albrighton are wasted at LB/RB respectively. Fuchs (with Konchesky backup? ) and Tisserand (with RDL backup) should be okay...
... one thing for sure ... we need good strength in depth ... wouldn't be surprised to see some shipped out too ... Konch and Danny Simpson for instance ...
It is no secret that we have a good scouting network in France - now we have a link to the top league as Raneiri is really well considered there and was only sacked for the heinous crime of getting them to only second place after getting them promoted the previous season. As for this guy, he can play anywhere along the back 4 and is really highly regarded by Monaco but wants to come to us because of Raneiri. We might be hearing that a lot...
Sounds like decent cover for Albrighton, though I'd be surprised if Albrighton continues the role he's been playing under ranieri. Hoping this could spell the end of Simpson, who still seems to have made it out to Austria. His misdemeanours seem to have slipped by unnoticed through all the recent chaos!
Apparently we have made an exploratory approach for Pepe Le Pew ... although he might just be a little too animated for our style of play... and I think his preference is for the Toon ... bit of a looney by all accounts ...
Sounds like we've been used in order to for the agent to get his client a new contract, like Schlupp's agent did with Arsenal.
