    Again I like what he says in particular;

    "We dominated the whole of that half, and really should have got more for our efforts. The main thing is to make sure that we're ironing all these things out in pre-season, and that's what we're getting our work in for."

    I'm glad that he is happy in front of the media at least with the performance but behind the training room doors I reckon he will be a little bit more choice about the profligacy in front of goal. He certainly references it;

    We definitely should have scored. We had a good few opportunities and we didn't take any of them.
    "We dominated the whole of that half, and really should have got more for our efforts.

    I know winning is not all important in pre season and it is always good if the team is playing well and learning and improving as they go, but if you think that he'll be happy with wasted chances and a loss then we have different impressions of the man.

    And as for those who do not understand what preseason is for, you may wish for a more comprehensive piece unless; fitness, team bonding, understanding player strengths and suitability for the playing system and imparting that playing system are not of any importance!

    If your post was not intended as being condescending Dave, then I have misread it.(And would say sorry too!) But between this and the rather tetchy comments about the kit I do wonder if you are the only Norwich fan who not only understands football but truly supports Norwich?

    Bah!

    Exactly how I read it, General. Patronising codswallop. At least he didn't name any names <yikes> :emoticon-0105-wink:

    I was NOT patronising anyone, I have seen one or two remarks about" not even scoring against lower league opposition" and thought you might like to see what the man in charge thinks of what it's all about! <ok>

    It's somewhat difficult to understand tonal qualities in a written piece, sometimes it changes the picture entirely! <ok>

    I am, however, disappointed that we're starting to see a split that affected our board under CH, I would suggest we should give the new(ish) manager a chance to see what he can do!

    Huh ? Dave, I can't think of a solitary member on here who is not solidly behind Alex Neil, in fact if there is I suggest they 'out' themselves so we can have them sectioned !

    I meant those that are saying McNally should be throwing untold millions at World Class Talent, I mean, it worked well for QPHa didn't it?

    I honestly don't see a split on the board re backing AN 100% - hell's teeth the bloke took us from the road to nowhere and back on board the gravy train (I do love a mixed metaphor). He has brought Seb back into the fold and given a few others a well-needed kick up the backside.

    Any manager we have will be frustrated by our relative lack of transfer budget in the PL balanced against our being Bojangles FC in the Champ. Unless we are bought by an Emir or a Prince this will always be the case.

    Anyone on here who thinks we will be chucking £10m at a player or shelling out £50/week wages is going to end up being pretty despondent and may be better off following QPR or a Manc club. Following the posts on the transfer thread I don't see people demanding we spend megabucks - I get the frustration that our current spend this window is zero but we have to have faith that even if we get nobody else AN and the current squad will have enough about them to do what is necessary to keep us up to fight another day in 16/17.

    Me neither. I bet if you asked Delia, Michael, McNally etc, they'd all be beaming from ear to ear with what has been achieved in little over 6 months since the decision was made to appoint Alex Neil <ok>

    £120m in the cash flow projections would make me smile as well.

    I never said the split was for or agin AN, the split is some want DM to splash the cash willy-nilly, while the rest of us don't want to become the next QPHa

    Sorry to be a pedant Dave but you did say "manager" not "McNally" :emoticon-0105-wink:

    And I meant see what he could do with what we have, not a load of costly new faces! Are you all deliberately misunderstanding me? I've been on here long enough, you should all know my way of putting things!

    We must be getting very frustrated or bored to read all that into Dave's post. People go up and down about pre-season friendlies. One minute they don't matter and the next minute they do. I thought AN was very up front about the result and what really mattered.

    Well that one definitely doesn't fall into ambiguous, more like a b) I would say!
